Bitmama Launches Credits Program To Assist Digital Natives In Making The Switch To The Blockchain Ecosystem

Bitmama Launches Credits Program to Assist Digital Natives in Making the Switch to the Blockchain Ecosystem

With the launch of the "Bitmama Credits Programme," Bitmama, a leading blockchain technology startup, aims to provide young people all over the world with the knowledge, skills, and resources they need to make the transition to the blockchain/NFT/web3 ecosystem.

Without a doubt, blockchain will lay the groundwork for the future of money, the internet, and human interactions as we know them. The vast majority of digital natives, including those working in the tech industry, are, on the other hand, completely unprepared for what is to come. Globally and in Africa, cryptocurrency adoption among internet users is still less than 10 percent, according to the World Bank.

According to the program's schedule, it will begin in the first quarter of 2022 and is aimed at software developers, growth and product managers, product marketers, accelerators, developer camps, and technology hubs. It is also open to anyone who is interested in technology or the blockchain ecosystem.

Following on the heels of Bitmama's announcement last month that it will support 50 engineers across Africa through the AltSchool program, this development comes as a welcome surprise. Female engineers will make up 50% of the applicants who will be supported by the program. In order to accelerate blockchain adoption, expand the pool of early blockchain talent, and even out the current gender disparity in the blockchain ecosystem, this initiative has been launched.

It is intended to provide digital natives interested in the blockchain ecosystem access to blockchain educational materials, internships, community, and venture support through the "Bitmama Credits Program."

A global learning curriculum for the ecosystem's beginner, intermediate, and advanced tracks will be made available to those who have earned the credits. This section will cover all aspects of development involving cryptography, DeFi, NFTs, DAOs, and web3 technologies, among other subjects.

The following are some of the additional advantages of the program:

  • Those who are selected to receive the Credits will also be given the opportunity to apply for internships at Bitmama and our local and international blockchain partner companies.
  • As part of the program, Bitmama will also assist developers by providing APIs for the development of blockchain applications as well as soft funding in conjunction with our investors for some of the most innovative applications.
  • A thriving community as well as access to a global network that can be used to accelerate the growth of the ecosystem

When asked about the program's content, Ruth Iselema, CEO of Bitmama, stated that "while blockchain is the future, a lot of young people do not understand what that means yet, or it is still vague to a lot of people." As evidenced by our products, we are committed as a company to facilitating crypto access for millions of people worldwide. One of the ways we hope to contribute to the mainstreaming of cryptocurrency is through this Credits program."

According to Ebovi Wali, Chief Growth Officer at Bitmama, "This is a significant investment for us, but it's also an investment in our community, and as you may be aware, community building is one of the pillars of the blockchain ecosystem."
