How To Hide Files And Folders In Android Smartphone
Everyone has the right to keep files and folders on their computers and mobile devices secret. It's perfectly fine if what you're trying to hide is legal under the law. A separate method is required if you want to hide your photos or apps.
You must be able to access the hidden files and folders on Android before encrypting them in order to protect them. Almost all Android devices come pre-loaded with a default File Explorer app that lets users view or hide files. If you don't have this setting, you can see all of your audio, video, image, and document files by using a third-party program like File Explorer. In order to hide a file or folder on Android using the default File Explorer or the aforementioned apps, follow these instructions:
Step 1: Start File Explorer on your mobile device and go to the files and folders you want to hide.
Step 2: Click the rename button after selecting the file or folder you want to rename.
Step 3: Add a period or dot in front of the file name in the text box that displays, and then click OK.
Step 4: If the "Show Hidden Files" option is not turned on your Android device, the folder will be hidden.
Step 5: You can either utilize the "Show Hidden Files" option in Windows or a third-party File Explorer program, such as the one provided above, to see the files and folders.
Step 6: Remove the dot from the beginning of the file name to remove the secret attribute, and the files will be easily accessible. In comparison to disguising your IP address, this method is simpler.
How To View Hidden Files In Android
Allowing Android users to access hidden files requires that they be given permission. The actions listed below can be performed to restore the default feature:
Step 1: Using the system's default file explorer, navigate to the local storage and choose the desired file.
Step 2: Once all folders are visible, select "Show Hidden Files" from the three dots in the upper right corner. You may access all hidden files and folders in your file explorer.
These instructions are only applicable if you've already installed File Explorer:
Step 1: Tap on the application shortcut to open.
Step 2: Click the three dots that appear in the upper right-hand corner of your screen.
Step 3: Using the contextual menu, select the Settings option, then the General option.
Step 4: Tap on the checkbox next to "Show Hidden Files".
It is now possible to see the previously hidden files.
