Shai Morag Joins Tenable as Chief Product Officer

Morag's new role at Tenable is pivotal in shaping the company's future, focusing on amplifying the company's growth and scaling its offerings across the full product spectrum. Since joining Tenable in 2023, following the acquisition of Ermetic, Morag has been instrumental in transforming Tenable Cloud Security. His leadership has been central to the development and expansion of Tenable’s CNAPP capabilities, which are designed to help security teams effectively identify and remediate critical vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and risky entitlements within cloud environments. This advancement has enabled Tenable to provide robust security solutions that are essential for protecting modern, cloud-based infrastructures.

Morag's extensive background includes over 25 years of experience in product management, technology leadership, and executive roles. Before his tenure at Ermetic, he co-founded Secdo, a cybersecurity firm, and led it through a successful acquisition by Palo Alto Networks.

Additionally, Morag’s leadership experience extends to his role as CEO of Integrity-Project, a company renowned for its expertise in connectivity, networking, and security solutions. Under his guidance, Integrity-Project was successfully acquired by Mellanox, further demonstrating his ability to drive business growth and strategic value. Morag's career is also marked by his decade-long service as an officer in the Israeli Defense Forces Intelligence Corps Unit 8200, where he gained invaluable insights and skills in technology and cybersecurity. This period not only sharpened his technical acumen but also equipped him with a robust understanding of the complex challenges faced in the cybersecurity domain. His diverse experiences across various high-stakes roles provide a solid foundation for leading Tenable’s innovation efforts and advancing the company’s mission in the cybersecurity landscape.
