Dubai to Welcome 26th Intersec Tomorrow, Shaping the Future of Global Safety

The 26th edition of Intersec, the world’s premier event shaping the future of security, safety, and fire protection, is set to commence tomorrow, 14 January 2025, at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC). Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansoor Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, this year’s event is poised to be the largest and most comprehensive yet. Featuring 1,200 exhibitors from 61 countries and expecting over 52,000 visitors from more than 140 nations, Intersec 2025 reaffirms its position as a global hub for innovation, collaboration, and industry leadership.

Operating under the theme “Mapping the Future of Security, Safety, and Fire Protection,” the event will showcase groundbreaking technologies and critical solutions across five main sectors: Commercial & Perimeter Security, Fire & Rescue, Safety & Health, Cybersecurity, and Homeland Security & Policing. With 11 international pavilions, including significant contributions from the UK, France, and Singapore, Intersec continues to underline its global relevance as a nexus for networking, knowledge-sharing, and advancing security and safety technologies.

Grant Tuchten, Portfolio Director at Messe Frankfurt Middle East, emphasized the event’s importance in uniting global participants to drive progress in essential industries. This year, Intersec introduces several notable new features. The inaugural Intersec Policing Conference will gather over 50 international experts to share best practices in law enforcement and public safety. Additionally, the CISO Business Briefing will provide an exclusive forum for Chief Information Security Officers to explore emerging trends and strategies in cybersecurity. Another key addition is the Intersec Startup Arena, hosted in partnership with Ignyte, which will serve as a transformative platform for startups to present disruptive solutions to industry leaders and investors.

Intersec 2025 also maintains its reputation as a platform for intellectual exchange through its flagship conference programmes. The Security Leaders’ Summit, in collaboration with strategic intelligence partner Kearney, will address themes such as sustainable security practices, evolving security threats, and the interplay between technology and geopolitical risk intelligence.

The Safety and Health Conference, curated by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH), will offer a global perspective on workplace and road safety. Meanwhile, the Fire and Rescue Conference, hosted by the National Fire Protection Association, will delve into topics such as AI-driven fire prediction, advancements in fire prevention regulations for UAE buildings, and compliance with fire safety codes in Abu Dhabi’s existing structures.

Additional conferences include the SIRA Forum, aimed at fostering collaboration within the commercial security community, and the Thought Leadership Pavilion, which will be hosted by Access Control Executive Brief. These forums will provide attendees with cutting-edge insights and foster critical discussions about the future of safety and security.

Live features are set to add a dynamic element to the event. The Safety Walk will showcase industrial safety gear through engaging presentations, while the Innovation Stage at in{cyber} will highlight the latest advancements in cybersecurity. Two prestigious awards ceremonies will also take place during the event: the 2nd annual Security Professionalism & Excellence Awards (SPEA) on 14 January at DWTC and the Intersec Awards on 15 January at the Ritz-Carlton DIFC, celebrating excellence across fire, safety, and security domains.
