How to Change a Safety Razor Blade?

Shaves with a safety razor are unparalleled in quality. Skin feels smooth when you touch it. In fact, Shaving becomes more sophisticated. When you're done, you feel satisfied. Still, a question remains, how should you dispose of a safety razor blade? 

After shaving, a blade needs to be changed an average of 5 to 8 times, depending on your shaving style, blade quality, length, and thickness of your beard.

Step#1  Remove the Old Blade

You should perform every new shave with a new blade. Dull blades can leave your skin feeling dry. Also, it causes tugging, irritation, and razor bumps. In order to shave a thick beard or coarse hair, multiple blade changes may be necessary during one shave.

Step#2  Put in a New Blade. 

It is straightforward to replace or insert a blade. However, if you are not efficient at it, take a look at these points.

• Hold the downward-facing knob on top of the handle; twist counterclockwise to loosen the screw rod. Either open the butterfly clamps on top of the razor's head to release it or lift‌ ‌the‌ ‌blade‌ ‌cover‌ ‌completely.
• Hold the razor handle in one hand while securing the blade's head with the other to keep the blade from falling out.
• Remove the blade cover if you plan to open the butterfly clamps completely.
• Pull the blade by grasping the short sides between your thumb and forefinger and pulling upward. Be careful not to hold the edge of the blade. 
• Carefully unwrap a new razor blade. Grasp the blade between a thumb and forefinger by its shorter edges. Place the blade on top of the razor. Align the blade correctly.
• If the razor cover needs replacing, replace it. Close the butterfly clamps by turning the knob at the end of the handle clockwise.
• At the bottom of the handle, turn the knob to adjust the blade angle.

Step#3 Dispose of the Old Blade

Don't throw your used blades into the bathroom trash can; instead, collect them in a box. Almost every Bevel Razor Blade box contains a space where you can put used blades. It is safe to place them there or in another compartment before disposing of them. If your box's lid has been damaged, please tape it closed, so the blades stay inside.

How Often To Change Safety Razor Blade?

The following are some suggestions for replacing your blades:

• Ideally, replace your blades every 1 to 2 weeks if you shave every day.

• Replacement of your razor blade should be done every four to six weeks if you shave twice a week.
