Kieran Trippier engaged in an explosive exchange with one of Newcastle United's traveling fans at full-time after his side's 2-0 loss against Bournemouth. While players rushed over to applaud their traveling supporters, Trippier became engulfed in a heated discussion with one of them and an argument ensued between themselves and England defender Kieran Trippier.
He accused a passer-by of calling him an unsavory name before taking an attempt at hitting his face with his fist; only inches missed their target's face! Video captured this incident.
Trippier’s explanation
Kieran Trippier became involved in an angry exchange with a Newcastle supporter following their 2-0 loss to Bournemouth on Saturday evening, following Dominic Solanke's two goals for Bournemouth at Vitality Stadium, leaving supporters disgruntled. Trippier was seen engaging in heated exchanges before being pulled away by midfielder Joelinton; since then however he has attempted to explain what transpired.
Right-back Jack Byrne insists he wasn't trying to provoke the supporter and was simply venting his frustration with his team's poor performance. Byrne wanted to recognize and thank the travelling Geordies who support the team; in doing so, he reiterated the need for them to focus on winning again; further asserting injuries are a primary contributory factor in recent struggles.

Kieran Trippier is an integral member of England, both at set pieces and as an all-around full back. His experience gained in Spain under Diego Simeone has only proven beneficial as it means he's fit enough to run up the pitch - essential characteristics in modern full backs.
Trippier was outstanding during England's World Cup run. One moment will live long in the memory of all fans: when Dele Alli won a free-kick in Croatia's half, and Trippier unleashed his trademark David Beckham-esque strike to score. That goal spread euphoria across the nation; fan parks and pubs alike were rocking!
Newcastle United defender Ryan Taylor engaged in an unpleasant exchange with some Magpies supporters following their 2-0 loss at Bournemouth, becoming upset and eventually having to be pulled away from those questioning his team's efforts. Such behavior is certainly not desirable for Eddie Howe's injury-hit side.

Bournemouth’s Dominic Solanke
Kieran Trippier has played down his heated exchange with a Newcastle United fan after their 2-0 defeat on Saturday night. Dominic Solanke scored twice to hand Eddie Howe's depleted side their first defeat this season on the south coast and Trippier was eventually removed by Joelinton after becoming heated with one supporter during an argument between them.
Solanke opened the scoring after finishing from Ryan Christie's low cross with an exquisite strike from close range before doubling Bournemouth's advantage with an audacious flick over an onrushing goalkeeper. Solanke also lodged two penalty claims which were denied by referee Andre Marriner.
Trippier did appear to nudge Solanke during their tussle, yet there was no indication of him biting from any perspective - either regular TV angles or within the goal itself. Howe later consoled Trippier after the incident by saying the full-back wasn't looking for trouble and would continue doing everything possible to support his team.
Newcastle’s injury crisis
Kieran Trippier and a Newcastle United supporter's fan confrontation was a reminder of both their emotional commitment to their club as well as how severely injured players have become over time. It served as an indicator that Newcastle United's injury crisis had reached new depths.
Callum Wilson will miss the rest of this season due to a hamstring injury, while Miguel Almiron and Sandro Tonali are already sidelined, along with Jacob Murphy and Dan Burn. Only summer signing Harvey Barnes remains fit at center-forward among a squad which includes Andoni Iraola, Alexander Isak and Samuel Santon.

Eddie Howe's side may currently sit seven points clear of Premier League relegation, yet their Champions League chances have taken a serious knock following back-to-back losses to Borussia Dortmund. They begin an intensive four game schedule over Christmas which starts with home matches against Manchester United before traveling to Paris Saint-Germain and Everton as well as Tottenham matches.
