Creating a Page on the Web, Overview, My identity by Best Linkedin Profile Makeover Services as a developer has allowed me to show off what I'm most proud of. Some of this information is only available by creating a Careers profile, but even if you don't have one, we want to make it available to everyone.

Background: Problem

Our current user profile pages try to do too many things. It's trying to give basic user information to people who don't know me (by showing my name, website, "about me" text, etc.) while trying to give me information about me (by showing reputation, activity, etc.). The result is a messy page that isn't optimal for either party.

It lacked critical information captured in the "career" profile but could not be accommodated in existing user pages. I want to show off my open-source projects and applications, but there's no room for them other than a free text "about me" section. When we add all these new things, they are too much.

So, where do we put everything? We looked at meta posts, metrics, and heatmaps... and found that the use cases for this page fall neatly into two categories: what users want to see when viewing someone else's profile and what users want to see So

, We're proposing a split for the profile page: a new, more professional user profile page called About Me, outlining who I am as a developer and showing what I'm most proud of. We focus on summaries and context rather than reams of numbers and lists.

The existing profile page (we'll call it the Dashboard for now) will remain the same, just losing the profile section at the top. We'll talk about that later.

Design

Bio information is at the heart of the About Me page, so we keep it at the top: screen name, reputation, rank, badges, and long bio.

Even if you don't have an employment profile, you can now include your current employer and position.

Your tags are a great indication of your interests and abilities. We place the labels higher on the page and make them larger. They're limited to your top six, and we'll use unique bronze, silver, and gold styles

if you earn the corresponding label badge.

The section is now interactive, allowing users to click on your tag and drill down to the posts in that tag. 

Questions and answers are located directly below the tabs. This section has more real estate than the old version, and we've integrated post-related badges into the display. If you received a badge associated with that post

What happens to existing user pages?

The user profile page will remain without the user information section at the top. From this page, you can access all the content that was previously accessible.

How do I navigate between the "About Me" and existing pages?

Whenever you click on a link on a user, post, or user page, you will be linked to the "About Me" page. If you click on your name in the top bar, you will be taken directly to the current page as usual. You can navigate between them using the tabs on the pages.

What about a site that doesn't have a Careers element other than Stack Overflow?

There will be no apps, and the Projects and Badges sections will be displayed at full width.

What about the content of the moderator?

All content is still there. We put it in the box at the top of the page. Design pending.

This draft can still be changed, especially elements that must be reflected throughout the site (voting indicator boxes, etc.).
