  1. Ujjain: It is one of the major sightseeing places of Madhya Pradesh. Ujjain situated on the banks of the holy kshipra (shipra) river, is also called the City of Temples, because temples are visible in almost every street here. The most special thing about this holy city is that the Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga located here is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. This is the city where the Kumbh Mela is organized every 12 years, in which millions of people come from all over the world. You can guess the beauty of this city from the fact that famous poet Kalidas has said that ‘this city has come down from heaven to make the earth a heaven’. 
  2. Gwalior: It is a historical city, known for its huge fort, monuments, beautiful places and temples. Gwalior fort, Jai Vilas Palace and Sun Temple are the main tourist places here, after seeing which you can never forget them. Surrounded by beautiful hills and greenery on all sides, this city is one of the best places to visit in the country. Gwalior is also famous for weddings.   3. Pachmarhi: Pachmarhi is a beautiful hill station located in the Hoshangabad district of Madhya Pradesh. Due to natural beauty this place is also known as ‘Queen of Satpura’. Lush green forests all around, waterfalls falling from the height of the mountains add to the beauty of this place. The Silver Fall here is worth seeing, where water falls down from a height of about 350 feet and this water looks just like milk.
  4. Bhimbetka Rock Shelter: if you interested in history then this place is best for you to visit. The Bhimbetka Rock Shelter, located in Raisen District, is an archaeological site believed to be the starting point of human development. There are more than 500 rock thousands of years ago still exist. The oldest painting here is believed to be 12 thousand years old. Coming here, you will feel like coming to a different world. 
  5.  Orchha: Orchha fort is situated near Betwa River at a distance of 16km from Jhansi district of Madhya Pradesh. This fort was built by Rudra Pratap Singh in the 16th century. It is also known for its attractions on Raja Mahal. In today’s time this fort has been converted into Ram Raja Temple. This temple the only one in India where everyone worships Rama as Raja Rama.  
  6. Sanchi: There are many Buddhist pilgrimage sites in India, Sanchi being one of them. The buildings of Sanchi are built in a very beautiful way. The Buddhist monuments of Sanchi reflect the culture here. Emperor Ashoka of the Mauyra dynasty had established this stupa here in the third century BC. But after visiting people feel joy and peace. 
  7. Amarkantak: Amarkantak is famous for its nature and beauty in Madhya Pradesh. It is one of the pilgrimage centers of Madhya Pradesh. Situated in the Satpura region, its shows a very beautiful view. The stream flowing between the mountains joins the Narmada River. The residents living here promote the antiquity of Narmada Kund and its temple.
