In reality, there is nothing to be frightened of because it is so simple to use. We’ve compiled a collection of Google Workspace tips and tricks to demonstrate why this is the case and why Google Workspace is one of the best Microsoft Office alternatives possible.

Gmail

An overflowing, disorganized mailbox is never helpful. Even though Gmail is a user-friendly and straightforward platform, there is still a lot of email junk that can reduce your daily output. These tips and tricks will help you speed up Gmail and assist you in handling your communications more methodically.

Turn off chat

If there’s one thing people seem to have forgotten about Gmail, it’s the Hangouts function. It was quite helpful when it first appeared, but users today have a tonne of options thanks to the abundance of chat applications.

Turn off the Labs feature

Even the majority of us haven’t heard of it. However, Labs is a function that enables users to test out unfinished trial features for Gmail. It’s activated by default and contributes to the slowing down of your Gmail. Go to Settings > Labs to turn it off. You have the option of completely disabling Labs or just the features you are not using.

Verify linked services and applications

We readily give tools and applications access to our Google accounts because we are app-friendly individuals. These applications all seek your account’s data resources and significantly slow down Gmail. To manage the list of applications linked to your Google Account, go to the “Apps with access to your account” tab. Restrict access to any service you no longer require or to which you have neglected to grant it.

Get Rid of Any Filters You Don’t Need

Although Gmail filters are the good ones that help you handle emails better than anything else, they also come with a downside: they significantly slow down Gmail. Perform a thorough scrutiny of every filter you have and get rid of the outdated ones. The amount of categories that have lost their relevance is shocking! You only need to go to Settings, then select categories, and you’ll see a selection of categories to look through.

Send priority emails first

By default, Gmail presents communications in chronological order. But we are aware that not all emails are of equal importance. Your efficiency won’t increase if you have to sift through several marketing mailers before finding that one email from your supervisor that is urgent and extremely important. Use Gmail’s primary inbox to sort emails based on which ones require your immediate attention. Your emails are instantly divided into three parts once you turn this on.

Merge non-Google email IDs together

Having email accounts on different platforms is normal. Everyone has a minimum of two accounts: one personal and one business. However, switching between these IDs can take time and effort. The good thing is that Gmail has a feature that allows you to handle all of your interactions holistically, from a single location, inside a single window containing all your emails. The best aspect is that you can reply using whichever of the email accounts you choose, maintaining the required separation. Open the Gmail Application on the Android smartphone or device to activate this. In the upper right corner, select Add Account under Menu.

Google Docs

G Suite productivity involves more than just organizing your Gmail. The majority of G Suite customers absolutely adore using Google Docs for writing, working together, or even just text editing.

Visit websites without exiting Docs

While working on Google Docs, you would typically start a new page and switch between several windows to search the web for some information. You are no longer required to complete this tiresome task. With the incredibly cool Explore feature that comes with Docs, you can look for, enter, and reference information without ever leaving the document.

Edit words and sentences

There is an excellent feature if you have used the Find and Replace function in Microsoft Word. Google Docs also offers that. This is accessible from the Edit menu.

Voice typing

Google Docs’ speech function performs incredibly well. Before enabling voice typing, you’ll clearly need a microphone by going to Tools > Voice Typing. Click the microphone button when you’re ready to speak, then start talking.

Image Editing in Docs

When it comes to editing pictures, Doc has a really simple utility that can help save a tonne of time. When you click on a picture after you’ve inserted it into a document, the menu at the top begins to resemble a clipboard. You can add borders and make other minor changes to give your picture a refined appearance.

Make the Hidden Shortcuts Menu visible

You have a whole collection of keyboard options in Docs that your inner Microsoft Word fan will find incredibly fascinating. Press Ctrl + / (Windows, Chrome OS) or + / to display a collection of keyboard commands in Google Docs.

Google Sheets

There are various things you can do with spreadsheets, including organizing data, performing computations, and combining data. And execute it much faster.

Automate repetitive tasks with macros

You can set up Sheets to handle your repetitive duties; simply record your steps and ask Sheets to execute them for you with a simple click. You can do this by selecting the Record Macro menu item from the Tools menu.

Discover formulas in sheets

While using algorithms is undoubtedly one of Sheets’ strengths, recalling them can be a challenge. However, you do have assistance there. While using the software, Sheets aids you in navigating the learning curve. When you begin typing a function, Sheets prompts you with the appropriate syntax and utilization samples. Simply type the equals symbol and the formula name to begin creating a formula. A pop-up describing the purpose of the semicolon appears as soon as you open them.

Clean up your content in a flash

Use the Trim feature to eliminate preceding and trailing spaces from any cells or columns that contain text entries. It can also be applied to text to correct excessive whitespace. Try the Power Tools add-on if you utilize Sheets for a lot of text-based writing. It is a collection of tools that, among other things, assist you in data cleanup and copy removal.

Clone formatting with only a few steps

Cells that have already been prepared can be copied exactly to new cells using Format Painter. The Format Painter is located in the upper left corner of the taskbar.

Google Calendar

If you use the Google Calendar correctly, you can confidently cross off more items from your to-do list. There are a lot of awesome methods to utilize the calendar to its fullest potential.

Ask that calendar to give you a daily schedule

Nobody wants to be unprepared for a conference. Occasionally, you get a notice only ten minutes before the appointment. And there isn’t enough time to prepare your ideas for it. Tasks are no different. Simply put, there is too much going on at work for you to remember or keep track of what is most crucial.

So what is the answer in this case? You can set up your planner to give you a summary email in the morning with a rundown of your upcoming tasks and appointments. Enabling Daily Notifications in Settings will accomplish this.

Add your to-do list to the calendar

Keeping your calendar synchronized with your third-party to-do tool is a little annoying. Do not worry; Google has a fantastic connection between Tasks and Calendar.

Launching Google Tasks:

Launch Google Calendar

Click the symbol for Tasks on the left

Steps for creating a task:

Add a task by selecting “Add a Task” and naming it.

Click the pencil icon to modify the assignment and add a due date.

Click “Save.”

Attach Documents to Events

When you create a schedule in the calendar, you can connect files to it. This makes sure that you always know what to study before a crucial conference and have the full context for the conversations that take place.

Apply Integrated Search

When you select the search icon and start typing, you will now get search results for meetings, papers, attachments, and contacts across any period range.

Organize meetings without opening the calendar

Right from Google search, you can now make calendar events without launching the app or website! You can use this both on a phone and a PC. When you enter “schedule” or “make an appointment” at the start of a desktop search, Google displays the option to add a calendar event directly from the search screen results. Use Google Assistant on your phone to accomplish the same task. Most of these tips and tricks are easy for you to put into practice right away. They will undoubtedly increase your productivity at work by streamlining your duties, allowing you to cross more items off your list.

Google Workspace resellers in India offer services like website development, corporate email, domain, hosting, etc. These days, a lot of individuals operate on cloud services while using G Suite or Google Workspace. Therefore, in this modern age, there is a great need for a cloud-based G Suite Reseller because in the near future, when all work will be conducted solely through cloud systems, this will be necessary.

Google Workspace (formerly referred to as G Suite), which offers more than a dozen apps and four administration tools, is a popular cloud suite choice…

[8
333061,333062
post-161666","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-software","tag-google-drive-workspace","tag-google-workspace
<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v24.5 -
