Can you imagine a life without all these digital gadgets or the inventions of IT and AI? Surely; your answer would be a big no. Even though; our lives have been revolutionized by this great invention but that does not mean that we can deny the importance of physical means of communication as well.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It can be said that digital, as well as, physical means of communication are going side by side perfectly and each has its own importance or place. It is because when a person meets the next person; he receives and gives messages through his body language as well which cannot be replace by digital communicational means.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Similarly; there are quite many benefits of digital means of communication. Some of them are as follows;<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">When you using digital communication platforms, then you avail more benefits.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It improves productivity by allowing people to use the latest techniques for improved communication purposes.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It reduces operational costs as you won\u2019t have to be at a particular place but rather can convey your message while sitting at your home.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The job done faster an easier manner.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It removes any sort of geographical or cultural barriers.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It allows you to go global or international.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h2><b>Physical vs. digital communication- Setbacks:<\/b><\/h2>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In times of physical distancing, such as during the COVID-19 pandemic, people are likely to turn to digital communication to replace in-person interactions <\/span><b>(Minh Hao Nguyen et al, 2021)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. Still, everything comes with its possible pros and cons; similar is the case for these both forms of communication. The following are some of the possible setbacks of physical means of communication;<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It takes more time to convey a message through this form.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">There is the possibility of committing an error while communicating in person.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It is harder to reach a global or international audience.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It is not suitable for large organizations or larger audiences.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Similarly; there are possible setbacks to digital communication as well. The following are some of those setbacks;<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It has overruled some of the cultures.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">There is the possibility of privacy invasion in this form of communication because of hackers.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Meeting through video calls kind of gives the impression of a non-serious attitude than meeting in person.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It consumes more power and more bandwidth for message transfer.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Conclusion:<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Both; physical as well as digital means of communication have some prominent differences between two and neither of them can overrule another. The ideal communication is the best of both worlds.
