How do you make fancy text in discord?
No matter if you're trying to underline a point, establish a title, or simply infuse some personality into your Discord writing, you may be wondering how to generate different types of text using the standard Discord typeface. Because Discord's engineers produced Markdown, text formatting options such as italics, bold, and more are now available to you. How to go about it:
How to make text bold
If you want to use bolded text in your Discord chat, all you have to do is include two asterisks at the beginning and end of the text (for example, **bolded text**). On a normal keyboard, the asterisk can be input by hitting the 'SHIFT' and '8' keys at the same time, as seen below.
How to italicize text
When you think of a 'fancy typeface,' italics is the first thing that comes to mind! When it comes to writing, italics may be employed for a variety of objectives, including to make your material more conversational or to draw attention to a particular point you want to convey. As with bold text, you'll need to use asterisks to indicate Markdown that a certain block of text should be italicized. For more information, see the Markdown documentation. In this case, however, you will only need to insert one asterisk on either side of the selected text, as seen below, rather than two asterisks on either side of the selected text. *The text has been italicized*.
How to underline text
Aside from that, you have the option of underlining specific words or headlines in Discord! Add two underscores at the beginning of the text and two underscores at the conclusion of the text to do this, which will instruct Markdown that the selected text should be underlined. If everything went according to plan, the result should look somewhat like this: __underlined text__
