Page Financials wins the BAFI Award for Most Innovative Consumer Lender of the Year 2021
During the BusinessDay Banks and Other Financial Institutions (BAFI) Awards, which were held over the weekend, Page Financial was recognized as the Most Innovative Consumer Lender of the Year, a distinction previously held by Bank of America. Page Financial has won this category for the third time in a row for the company.
It is the BAFI Awards, which are organized by one of West Africa's most respected media organizations, that bring together and honor exceptional financial institutions from across the banking and non-banking sectors in West Africa and beyond. The BAFI Awards celebrated their ninth anniversary at their most recent ceremony.
Aside from the Non-Bank CEO of the Year award, Page Financials was also recognized for its exceptional leadership.
In recognition of Page Financials' strategic and innovative approach to customer problem-solving in the consumer lending space, which has directly contributed to the company's consistent growth over the years, the Awards were presented.
In a year in which businesses and even the most stable economies around the world are still reeling from the devastation caused by COVID-19, the company has consistently set the pace in the financial services industry by prioritizing customer needs and innovating through the delivery of financial services.
Following the awards ceremony, Dr Adewale Olawoyin (SAN), Chairman, Board of Directors at Page Financials stated that "it is a pleasure to have been recognized by The BAFI awards." He expressed delight on behalf of the Board of Directors and management in receiving the awards. He stressed that receiving recognitions in areas such as Innovation and Responsiveness – which are at the heart of the Institution's relationship with customers – for three consecutive years is a testament to the Board of Directors' and management's strategic effectiveness as well as their directorial leadership.
Additionally, he expressed his gratitude to the Bank's throngs of customers for their support, which allowed the Bank the opportunity to demonstrate to the market what it is capable of providing. The BAFI Awards' eighth edition, held in 2020, recognized Page as the Consumer Credit Brand of the Year as well as the Most Innovative Consumer Lender of the Year, among other honors.
