GITEX Africa 2024 Set to Fast-Track Continent’s Future Digital Economy with Robust Line-up of Tech Topics

International tech companies are intensifying collaborations with GITEX Africa to gain a competitive edge in the burgeoning African digital landscape. H.E. Dr. Ghita Mezzour expressed growing ambitions as they anticipate the second edition of GITEX Africa Morocco in the picturesque city of Marrakech.

GITEX Africa, the continent’s largest tech and startup event, is gaining momentum for the year’s significant tech discussions and collaborative ventures in Marrakech, Morocco. With the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the second edition is scheduled from May 29-31, 2024, under the Moroccan Ministry of Digital Transition and Administration Reform and hosted by the Digital Development Agency (ADD).

GITEX Africa’s upcoming second edition builds on the success of its debut in 2023, which was praised by the tech community as the world’s best tech launch event. The growing global interest in diverse tech themes is propelling GITEX Africa’s expansion, contributing to the development of a mature digital ecosystem and attracting significant attention from major tech players entering one of the world’s most dynamic markets.

GITEX Africa 2024 is poised to bring together thousands of attendees from across the continent, fostering extensive discussions and forward-looking collaborations. The event will serve as a catalyst for significant technological advancements in various industries, including cloud and IoT, cybersecurity, digital health, future finance, consumer tech, telecoms, and artificial intelligence. H.E. Dr Ghita Mezzour, the Moroccan Minister of Digital Transition and Administration Reform, has engaged with organizers to enhance preparations, including the development of an expanded purpose-built venue to meet the rising demand from global exhibitors.

The inaugural edition of GITEX Africa Morocco underscored Africa’s embrace of the digital revolution, reflecting Morocco’s commitment to bolster South-South cooperation in the digital realm. H.E. GITEX Africa, organized by KAOUN International, the overseas affiliate of Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), extends the success of GITEX GLOBAL by bringing its expertise to the continent. The expansion includes the debut of World Future Health Africa, held in collaboration with the Moroccan Ministry of Digital Transition, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, and the Digital Development Agency.
