How to Create and Save a Custom Watermark in Word

Do you know that you can design your own custom watermarks and save them for later use in other projects? Let us show you how and the various processes you need to take. They are easy steps that you can easily follow:

To create and save a custom watermark in Word, follow the steps outlined below:

1. Launch Microsoft Word on your computer.

2. In the Home section, select the option for a new blank document.

3. Select the Design tab from the drop-down menu.

4. In the "Page Background" section, select the Watermark option from the drop-down menu.

5. From the drop-down menu, choose Custom Watermark as your option.

6. Select either a picture watermark or a text watermark to use as a watermark.

7. Alternatively, if the Picture watermark option was selected, click the Select Picture button to choose an image to use as a watermark. (See the instructions above for more information.)

8. If you selected the Text watermark option, you can use the available settings to create a text-based watermark. (See the instructions above for more information.)

9. Finally, press the OK button to confirm your actions. 10 Select the document's header by double-clicking it.

10. Select the watermark element from the drop-down menu.

11. Use the Picture Format or WordArt tabs to customize your watermark, depending on which type of watermark you're using.

12. (Optional) Adjust the shape's size by dragging the dots.

13. (Optional) Rotate the shape by dragging the green dotted line around it.

14. (Optional) Reposition the element by dragging it and dropping it.

15. Select the Design tab from the drop-down menu.

16. In the "Page Background" section, select the Watermark option from the list.

17. Choose the option to Save Selection to Watermark Gallery from the drop-down menu.

18. Confirm the name of the watermark.

19. Verify the description of the element (Optional).

20. To proceed, press the OK button.

The watermark will be saved once you have completed all of the steps and you will be able to use it in future documents if you wish.
