How To Get IOS 14.5 On Your IPhone
iOS 14.5 is now ready and waiting on your phone
If you are looking at getting iOS 14.5 up and running on your phone, we have good news: Apple has released the software update, and if your phone is compatible you will be able to download it now.
iOS 14 came up with it the introduction of home screen widgets so you can further customize your phone's major display as well as the long awaited App Library, App Clips and a list of other new features.
iOS 14.5 is the most recent software from the company, and it comes out with a whole new variety of updates which includes support for a way you can unlock your iPhone with an PS5 Apple Watch, and Xbox Series X controller support and much more.
Note that not all iPhones would be able to download iOS 14 anything older than the iPhone 6S would not be getting the recent version of iOS 14. If your iPhone is compatible, scroll below for step-by-step instructions on how to update your device to the latest iOS 14.
1. Before getting iOS 14.5, back up your iPhone
As always, we would always recommend backing up your device before you update to the latest software.
Before you do anything, back up your aplications and data. While this software is as stable as any normal update, it is just a good practice to make sure that you are all backed up in case anything goes wrong.
2. Download from the Settings page
Here is the easy bit, it is just a case of downloading the software and your iPhone would do the rest.
If you go over to the Settings application (that is the one that has a grey background with a cog icon in the center) and then go over to the tab known as General. Under here, you will find a section that is called Software Update.
That is where you should find an update ready and waiting with a button that says you can Download and Install. If you have not previously updated to other software, you may need to do that before you progress to iOS 14.5.
If you do not see an update for iOS 14.5 here yet, you should do in the coming days. If not, it may be that you are already running the software - and you will know that as it would tell you the version of the software you are running on this page.
