Kwik Delivery has announced the appointment of Austin Okocha and Fehinty as brand ambassadors

To strengthen its relationship with riders and attract new users, Kwik, a Lagos-based delivery startup, has named Nigerian football legend Austin Okocha as one of its brand ambassadors in an effort to improve its relationship with riders and attract new users.

It was revealed at the unveiling, which took place at the Lagos Marriott Hotel in Ikeja, that the company has plans to expand beyond Lagos and into the Nigerian capital of Abuja. Guests, partners, company employees, and members of the media were all in attendance at the event.

Fehintoluwa Okegbenle, a well-known Nigerian female biker, was also introduced at the event. The bicyclist traveled from Lagos to Togo, Ghana, and back again on his motorcycle. She is also credited with being the first female biker in Nigeria to complete the Ironbum Challenge, which requires riders to ride 1,000 kilometers in a single day.

According to Romain Poirot-lellig, the CEO of Kwik, the startup chose to hire brand ambassadors because they embody the company's values and represent the company well. Former Nigerian international and current Kwik Entertainment CEO Kwik says the company wants to capitalize on Okocha's reputation as a "living legend" by capitalizing on his image of skill, dexterity, and overall success.

Austin Okocha, a former captain of the Super Eagles, describes his brand ambassadorship as "a marriage made in heaven." He went on to explain that Kwik is one of many ambassadorships that he has taken on because they resonate with him as a brand.

A game changer for Nigerian businesses and merchants, particularly those who conduct business online, Kwik Delivery has been described as follows: As Kwik's first representative in Nigeria, it is an honor for me to help them establish a presence in the country. In my opinion, it's the equivalent of throwing a fish into a river.”

As a business owner, Fehintoluwa Okegbenle understands what it's like to be at the mercy of unreliable delivery services. She chose to be a Kwik ambassador simply because the brand stood out among the others she's used in the past.

“As a biker, I am constantly challenged to think outside the box. Kwik, which has demonstrated creativity and dynamism in its customer service delivery, is one of the companies with which I am proud to be associated,” she said.

Aiming to completely restructure the delivery system, Kwik Deliveries was established in 2019. In order to operate a point-to-point delivery system, the startup, dubbed the Uber for Deliveries, makes use of technological advancements.

Furthermore, it has done well in terms of raising funds, having raised $1.7 million in March alone. Ubisoft had previously invested $350,000 in the company, as well as an undisclosed sum from the company.

The company claims to serve more than 70,000 businesses and to have more than 100,000 downloads on the Google Play store.
