Polygon will host a $250,000 Road to Web3 global hackathon in collaboration with EthGlobal

Polygon, a blockchain infrastructure development company, is finally getting ready to host its first-ever blockchain hackathon on October 20th. With the hackathon, dubbed Road to Web3, developers will be able to get help with their first Blockchain application, which will be a great learning experience for them.

Additionally, the event, which is being co-hosted by EthGlobal, will assist developers in elevating their Web2 experience through the use of Web3 onboarding technologies. Additionally, it will enable them to develop their first project involving decentralized games, DeFi, or NFTs, or to decentralize an existing Web2-based application as a result of this opportunity!

It was announced by the organizers to Technext that the hackathon, which will take place entirely online, would begin on February 3 with a kick-off summit. On February 8th, a 96-hour hackathon will take place, which will be followed by a ceremony.

Aside from that, according to the organizers, they have brought together some of the best speakers, mentors, and thinkers from the industry to assist participating hackers in their learning and building efforts. Among the speakers will be Matthew Ball, Managing Partner at Epyllion Ventures, Ryan Wyatt, Co-Founder of Twitch, Justin Kan, and Austin Griffith, Web3 Builder.

Anyone with access to a computer from any location in the world is welcome to participate. The hackathon will provide participants with the opportunity to network and collaborate with over 1000 other developers from all over the world during the course of the event. In addition to learning about the latest web3 stack from industry experts, participants will also have the opportunity to compete for cash prizes totaling $250,000.

Despite the fact that the Road to Web3 Hackathon is completely free, hackers are encouraged to "stake" a small amount of money in order to guarantee their place at the event. This stake serves as an additional incentive to construct your project, and it is returned to you once your project is completed.

"For each project submitted, hackers must stake a certain amount (approximately $10), which will be returned in full after the project has been submitted. To ensure that those who have been accepted into the hackathon continue to participate actively throughout the duration of the event, we have implemented this policy "According to the hackathon's organizers,

Participants in the Road to Web3 Hackathon can form groups of up to five people to work on their projects. Members of the team are not restricted in any way, which means that hackers from any country or with any level of experience are welcome to collaborate.

The leading platform for Ethereum scaling

Polygon is the most advanced platform available for scaling Ethereum and developing infrastructure in the industry today. The company's growing portfolio of products makes it simple for developers to access all major scaling and infrastructure solutions, including L2 solutions (ZK Rollups and Optimistic Rollups), sidechains, hybrid solutions, standalone and enterprise chains, as well as data availability solutions.

Polygon's scaling solutions have been widely adopted, with over 3000 applications and a total of more than 1 billion bytes hosted on Polygon's infrastructure. Polygon, formerly known as Matic Network, has recently undergone a rebranding campaign to reflect its new identity.

"The MATIC Network project began in 2017 and was given the name MATIC Network. Later, as our scope grew, the company was renamed Polygon to reflect this. A suite of Ethereum scalability products, such as the Polygon Hermez, the Polygon Miden and the Polygon Zero are being developed by Polygon at the moment "According to Technext, the company
