What Does "Current Period" Mean In Cellular Data Settings On iPhone

iPhone.

When you look at your iPhone's cellular data usage in the Settings app, you may come across "Current Period" data consumption statistics. However, when did the most recent epoch begin? Here's how you can figure it out.

We're going to assume you've already gone to Settings > Cellular on your iPhone to make this assumption. Launch the Settings app and select the "Cellular" option from the drop-down menu.

In iPhone Settings, tap "Cellular."

The "Cellular Data" section is located at the top of the "Cellular" settings page. At the top of this section, you'll notice "Current Period" and a total number of records. There has been a lot of cellular data usage in the current period.

You may feel alarmed if you've never seen this info in Settings before. When and how long have we been in this era, and where did it begin?

The "Current Period" stat in iPhone Cellular settings. What is the current period?

"Current Period" on some companies is linked to your actual cell phone billing cycle. A arbitrary period of time after your phone's statistics were last refreshed is used as the "Current Period" by other carriers.

In the event that you have a lot of apps installed on your iPhone, you may not realize that the "current period" data can be viewed near the bottom of the program list.

At the bottom of Cellular settings, you'll see the date the current period started.

By selecting "Reset Statistics," you will erase all of the data from the current period.

Note: Your cell phone data stats will be deleted and reset to zero, so be careful.

Tap "Reset Statistics" to reset your iPhone cellular data and call time statistics.

A new "Current Period" begins when you select "Reset Statistics." Over time, return to Settings > Cellular to see your data usage and the most data-hungry apps. All the best!
