Solution 1: Run File Doctor

Step 1: Download Tools Hub 

  1. Close QuickBooks.
  2. Download QB Tool Hub. 
  3. Save the file.
  4. Open the QuickBooksToolHub.exe file.
  5. Follow the on-screen steps.
  6. Install the tool.
  7. Agree to the terms and conditions.
  8. When done, double-click on its icon.
  9. Open the Tool Hub. 

Step 2: Access the File Doctor 

  1. Open the tool hub.
  2. Select Company File Issues.
  3. Select Run QuickBooks File Doctor. 
  4. Wait for a few minutes. 
  5. Manually open it by searching if it’s not open. 
  6. Once open, select your company file.
  7. If you don’t see your file, select Browse. Locate the file. 
  8. Select Check your file and Network.
  9. Click on Continue.
  10. Enter your admin password.
  11. Click Next.
  12. Now, check for the error.

Solution 2: Run Verify and Rebuild Data

Step 1: Verify Data

  1. Go to Window.
  2. Select Close All.
  3. Click on File.
  4. Choose Utilities.
  5. Review the results and select Verify Data.
  6. If QuickBooks reports no issues and states that there are no problems with your data, everything is intact, and you can take no further action.
  7. If an error message pops up, go to the QB support team for help.
  8. "Your data has lost integrity" message indicates data damage, if you see this, then proceed to rebuild your data.

Step 2: Rebuild Your Company File Data

  1. First, go to File and then Utilities.
  2. Select Rebuild Data.
  3. Create a backup before the rebuild. Click OK to continue, as a backup is essential.
  4. Choose a location.
  5. Save your backup.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Ensure that you do not overwrite an existing backup file.
  8. Enter a new name for the backup file and click Save.
  9. A message will display indicating that the rebuild is complete.
  10. After seeing this message, click OK.
  11. Go back to File and select Utilities.
  12. Choose Verify Data.
  13. Check additional issues.
  14. If Verify Data finds more problems, you will need to resolve them manually. Look for error(s) in the qbwin.log on the QuickBooks Desktop support site for guidance.
  15. If you are unable to fix the error, consider restoring a recent backup.
