Adewale Hails Graduating Students From CWG Academy
Mr. Adewale Adeyipo, CWG Plc's Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, congratulated students who graduated from the CWG Academy on April 23rd, describing them as thoroughbred and tech-savvy African youth.
Adewale encouraged the students, who numbered over 30, during the brief graduation ceremony held at CWG Plc's corporate headquarters in Lekki-Lagos, to be good ambassadors and explore the values for which the CWG Academy is known.
"Congratulations on your today's graduation. At CWG Academy, we keep an eye out for our graduates to see how they are adjusting to life outside of the Academy. We encourage you to take advantage of the training and explore all facets of information technology in order to become a good representative of the Academy," he advised the graduates, who have been in session since January.
He assured students that with the knowledge gained at the Academy, they would be prepared to excel in any position they may hold as an employer or employee, noting that the Academy prepares students to be the best in all Information and Communications Technology areas.
Meanwhile, Mr. Emmanuel Effiong, the CWG Academy's Training Manager, stated that the CWG Academy's mission, established over a decade ago, is to train youths across Africa to be exceptional and have a career-changing experience.
CWG Academy Training and Skills Acquired
He explained to the students that the training session assists and empowers youths to upgrade their skills and knowledge in areas such as ATM, IT Infrastructure, Data Center, Software, and Finance.
“We have not only trained you in CWG Plc, but we have equipped you to compete anywhere in the world,” Effiong assured.
While advising graduating students to represent themselves well wherever they go, Effiong noted that the Academy had produced Nigerians, many of whom are now employed by blue-chip companies, while others are entrepreneurs.
The CWG Academy primarily covers ATM and all of the modalities that enable it to operate; data center infrastructure services, software development, and networking technologies such as Long Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) (WAN).
Additionally, the Academy, founded by CWG Plc, Africa's largest system integration company, focuses on advanced service management, information technology infrastructure, and cloud computing. The Academy is one of the numerous ways CWG contributes to nation building by assisting in the fight against Nigeria's unemployment quagmire.
Since its inception more than a decade ago, the Academy has trained and developed over 1,500 professionals, many of whom have gained employment with Nigeria's blue-chip companies. Additionally, some have established their businesses as entrepreneurs and are doing quite well.
