AfriGlobal announces the launch of AfriCover247

AfriGlobal's strategy is to leverage technology innovations to assist Nigerians in extracting savings and purchasing instance policies, thereby disrupting the country's traditional insurance industry model.

The digital platform is designed to facilitate 24/7 insurance transactions, from start to finish, and the application is available on Android and iOS.

In other words, the app serves as a 24/7 digital insurance transaction platform that enables businesses, individuals, and technology providers (via an API) to easily access and redistribute insurance products.

Mr. Casmir Azubuike, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of AfriGlobal Insurance Brokers Ltd, stated during Friday's launch event in Lagos that AfriCover247 has the potential to transform the Nigerian insurance landscape.

He explained that the App is the first of its kind in Nigeria's insurance industry.

Further elaborating on the platform's use, he stated that AfriCover247 is simple, user-friendly, and expansive for users.

In addition, Azubuike referred to the app as a one-stop shop for all insurance-related services.

He stated, "Nigeria's insurance industry has awoken to the threat and reality exposed by the Covid-19Pandemic and the ensuing lockdown."

“It's gratifying to report that AfriGlobal has achieved another first by enabling anyone, anywhere in the world, to purchase insurance and file claims via AfriCover24.

“You can now purchase insurance, have your policy documents delivered in a matter of minutes, and report and settle claims.”

Dr. (Mrs.) Bola Onigbogi, President and Chairman of the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRB) Governing Board, stated in her goodwill message that AfriGlobal's innovation in the area of InsureTech is a welcome development.

According to her, the insurance industry has been particularly hard hit by the global economy's stagnation as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

She added that the development has also harmed the earnings of public and private sector employees and stifled all forms of social interaction for which Nigerians are known.

While congratulating AfriGlobal on the launch of AfriCover247, Onigbogi stated that all hands must be on deck to transform the industry by adding value to people and the economy as a whole.

Mr. Tope Adaramola, Executive Secretary of NCRIB, stated that AfriGlobal is one of the brokers that has demonstrated foresight in innovation and is a market leader in insurance brokerage.

According to him, "some preach change, but AfriGlobal practices it." NCRIB's 460 members congratulate you and wish you success in this robust engagement with your customers, which will crystallize industry growth”.

Mr. Eddie Efekoha, Group Managing Director of Consolidated Hallmark Insurance, stated that they are honored to be a part of this historic occasion.

The GMD, speaking through Regional Director for Lagos Mainland, Ose Oluyanwo (Mrs. ), stated: "We are pleased that AfriGlobal is approaching the industry in this manner. It could not have arrived at a more opportune time. The mileage is present, and I'm confident that within a short period of time, we'll begin measuring it. We are all aware that recent events such as COVID-19 and EndSARS have had a negative impact on the industry.

“Digitalization is the trend right now, and AfriGlobal demonstrated its commitment with the launch of AfriCover247, which provides seamless access to insurance coverage. Additionally, we encourage other brokers to leverage technology. We want to reassure AfriGlobal that we are collaborating with them and that the public's trust and value in insurance will be maintained through this platform”.

In Conclusion

Mr. Rasheed Abayomi, Executive Director of Zulfah Group, the technical partners to AfriCover247, stated at the launch that the portal is extremely user-friendly and has the potential to transform the country's insurance landscape.

According to him, "the platform offers something for everyone, including individuals from all demographics, corporate entities, and technology-based businesses."

He outlined some of AfriCover247's key features, which include a chat box, administration, API adaptability, user experience benefits, loss report, claims processing, and payment.

“Forms and applications can be easily imported into the application, and files in a variety of formats can be uploaded using drag and drop,” he explained, just as the customer-centric platform has been designed to enable users to report an insurance claim from the comfort of their room and have it processed regardless of disruptions to normal working days, in addition to the appropriate security measures in place.

He urged users to download the AfriCover247 app, which includes support lines accessible via social media.
