Chaka partners with TradingView to help clients better invest in global markets

With the collaboration of TradingView, a leading online charting platform used by investors, Chaka will be able to assist its clients in better identifying and evaluating investment opportunities in the global markets.

The partnership, which was announced on Friday, comes after Chaka was awarded the first license to a Fintech entity by the Nigerian Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

“We are thrilled to announce the launch of Chaka, our first Nigerian stockbroker,” TradingView General Manager, Pierce Crosby, said in a prepared statement. “We are delighted that African traders and businesses can now gain access to TradingView through a local, licensed broker, and we look forward to expanding our collaboration in the coming years.”

Traders and investors can connect with one another through TradingView, a social network. It is estimated that up to 30 million clients – more than 15.5 million of whom are active investors – are members of the online investment community, according to information on the company's website.

TradingView allows traders to keep track of investment assets, find trading ideas, communicate with other investors, identify trends in global markets, assess opportunities, and place trades directly on charting software.

Benefits of Using TradingView

Through the use of Chaka, professional traders and investment enthusiasts from across Africa can now connect with other traders and investors on TradingView through their brokerage accounts.

Clients who access TradingView through Chaka will pay as little as 0.69 percent in fees, thanks to the company's dynamic fee system, which helps investors keep more of their money in their pockets.

In addition to having direct access to over 11,000 assets that are traded on international stock exchanges, Chaka's users have the ability to trade with the assistance of advanced analytical tools that allow them to conduct effective trading research. These include six million real-time trading ideas, 34 million user-created charts, and other TradingView community features, to name a few examples.

With this partnership, Chaka becomes the first African broker to offer TradingView to retail investors and businesses on the continent, a distinction that is equally significant for Chaka itself.

“This partnership with TradingView is in line with our mission to enable borderless digital investing for every African,” said Tosin Osibodu, Co-founder and CEO of Chaka Technologies, which owns the Chaka.com platform and is a member of the African Leadership Council.

One of our key objectives as we work to expand our footprints on the continent is to identify and harness strategic partnerships like this, as well as leverage our proprietary infrastructure, to deliver world-class, leading tools and platforms for Africans to invest, trade, and accumulate long-term wealth.

Osibodu told TechCabal that more partnerships of this nature are in the works, and that Chaka intends to use them to further its mission of empowering digital investments in Africa in the future.

Following a recent $1.5 million pre-seed fundraise, Chaka is also considering a continent-wide expansion, with a planned launch in Ghana in the near future as part of this consideration.

For the time being, Chaka users can only access TradingView if they have been invited.
