The partnership pitch session, which took place on Friday, September 24th, featured three growth-stage startups pitching to corporate organizations for potential partnerships, while the investment pitch session featured four early-stage startups pitching to potential investors.
Both companies were selected as winners by a panel of judges that included some of Africa's most prominent tech personalities, such as Tomi Davies, Yemi Keri, and Uwem Uwemakpan, as well as other notable figures. Each of the winning startups receives $500,000 in TechCabal coverage as part of the prize package.

About ChatBots
ChatBots, based in Kenya, is a multi-channel bot platform that enables businesses to use artificial intelligence chatbots on WhatsApp. According to the company, the solution is designed to accommodate users with a variety of levels of experience, ranging from complete beginners to advanced users.
According to Tagoe, the startup was victorious because the solution and business model were "very clear, and the judges were drawn to the solution because it addressed the customers' pain point."
About Fashtracker
According to Wunmi Akinsola, the CEO and co-founder of Fashtracker, winning the investment pitch session is "a significant validation" for the startup's efforts.
Through its online platform, Fashtracker, a Nigeria-based company, connects people who are interested in trusted and sustainable African fashion brands with those who live on and outside the continent. "We want to be the go-to fashion destination for African brands both within Africa and around the world," says a statement on the company's website.
"I'm feeling extremely motivated to continue building Fashtracker," the overjoyed founder expressed. It is a major validation for any startup that Techcabal, its investors, and other stakeholders bought into the idea after only a 2-minute pitch.
Akinsola believes that certain factors influenced the judges' decision to choose the startup as the winner, such as the fact that the African fashion marketplace is "relatively untapped and represents a huge opportunity," especially given that the barriers to entry, such as logistics, payments, and scale, have already been overcome, according to the entrepreneur.
In addition, she points out that startups such as Fashtracker have the potential to alleviate the financial burdens of thousands of creatives and fashion entrepreneurs around the world. "Economic prosperity is critical in Nigeria, especially during these trying times."
The high-production event, which went by the hashtag #FutureOfCommerce2021, provided registered stakeholders with an opportunity to learn about shifts in the industry and buying behavior, as well as how they can better prepare to take advantage of the rising tide, whether as organizations or as individuals.
Starting from startups to investors to banks to telecom companies to fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) companies to policymakers to small businesses to tech enthusiasts and everyday consumers to discuss their thoughts on and predictions about all the changes that are coming to how people buy and sell on the continent, the hybrid conference brought together a diverse group of participants.
When asked about the Future of Commerce, Tagoe said, "The organization (TechCabal) is top-notch, and the ideas and insights shared were thought-provoking." "The ideas and insights shared were thought-provoking," Tagoe said. "Congratulations to the team. In person attendance next year is something I'm looking forward to."
Akinsola believes that the event will be a "game-changer" for African start-up companies.
"I had a feeling it was going to be good, but I was completely blown away by the revelations." Her statement stated that "having access to all of this information will have such massive ripple effects." "Through TechCabal's Future of Commerce, thousands of founders and soon-to-be founders gain an immediate competitive advantage."
