Fast charging support for the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro is expected to be 33W

According to a new report, the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro may be equipped with fast charging capabilities of up to 33W. A few details about the two phones were revealed earlier this month by Google, which also shared some of the phones' specifications. Now, some information about their charging capabilities has surfaced, following reports that the Pixel 6 series will ship without a charging brick in the box when it is released. The Pixel 6 series will be released in the fall of this year and will be available at a premium price with flagship specifications.

Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will be able to support 33W fast charging, according to a report published by 91Mobiles in collaboration with tipster Yogesh Brar. Sources told the publication that a large number of 33W charging bricks had been discovered at the company's headquarters, according to the anonymous tip. While this isn't conclusive proof that the upcoming Pixel phones will support 33W fast charging, it is safe to assume that they will have improved charging capabilities when compared to previous Pixel phones.

Even though 33W fast charging may not appear to be as fast as that offered by other manufacturers in the industry such as OnePlus, Xiaomi, Vivo, and others, it is a significant improvement over devices such as the Google Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G, which only support 18W fast charging, respectively. The latest OnePlus phone, the OnePlus 6, supports 65W fast charging, whereas the latest Xiaomi phone, the Mi Mix 4, supports 120W fast charging, according to the company.

In addition

In addition to what has already been mentioned, the Pixel 6 series was announced earlier this month, and it has been confirmed that they will be powered by Google's Tensor SoC. They will be pre-installed with the Material You design from Android 12. The Pixel 6 series has a distinct design as well, with a protruding strip running across the width of the phones, which houses the rear cameras on the phones.

Recently, information about the phones' cameras has leaked, with the Pixel 6 rumored to have a Samsung ISOCELL 50-megapixel GN1 sensor as its primary wide-angle camera. In order to support both sub-6GHz and millimeter-wave 5G, the Pixel 6 series is said to use Samsung's Exynos Modem 5123, which supports both sub-6GHz and millimeter-wave 5G. The Pixel 6 series will be released this fall, but there is no specific release date at this time.
