First Nigerian Item Finder startup, JaysFinder launches
Previously, misplacing an item meant either spending a long time looking for it or simply letting it go. However, with the introduction of numerous tracking devices, you can now locate your misplaced items with a single tap on your smartphone.
As the first Nigerian-made finding device, the JaysFinder, a product of Jays Living Technologies, was recently introduced. Essentially, it is a Bluetooth-enabled device and mobile application that allows you to locate misplaced items quickly and easily. Its goal is to reduce the amount of time spent searching.
How it works
JaysFinder combines the dual force of a small finding device called "Jay" and a setup application called "JaysFinder App" to create a powerful combination.
Once the "Jay" has been successfully installed, you can attach it to your favorite items such as keys, bags, wallets, TV remotes, and so on. Users can then use the app to locate their items by selecting “find” from the drop-down menu. This then results in a loud ringing sound. The app can also be used to locate phones that are connected to a Jay by double tapping the device, which activates the app and causes a loud ring to be heard even when the phone is on silent or DND.
There is a map included with the app, which can be used to see the current location of items that have been tagged. Users can be alerted when they are about to leave an item behind thanks to the smart notifications provided by the app.
In real time if the device (Jay tracker) is within bluetooth range of the user's smartphone, users can see the location of their tagged items. In the event that the device (Jay tracker) is out of bluetooth range, users can see the “last known location” of their tagged items.
With JaysFinder's smart notifications feature, users can also be alerted when they are about to leave an item behind in their vehicle.
Jaysfinder is a compact, durable device that is water-resistant and has a replaceable battery that can last for up to two years in normal use. More than five "Jays" can be connected using the JaysFinder application.
