How To Open Articles Automatically in the Reader View of Safari
Not all web pages are created equally. Some web articles contain format and media that are unnecessary. Safari’s Reader Mode on Mac, iPad, and iPhone, cleans up the article text. You can even set the feature up to directly automatically open all your articles in the Reader View.
Turn on Reader View On Mac, iPad, and iPhone
If you are new to Reader Mode, here’s the rundown. When you open a supported page (most articles on the web are supported) on Safari for Mac, iPad, and iPhone, you will see an “aA” button in the URL bar.
On your iPhone or iPad, simply click and hold this button to enter Reader View. You can also click on the “aA” button and select the “Show Reader View” option.

1. On your Mac, the Reader View icon looks just like a web page. You’ll see it on the left edge of the URL bar.

1. You can enable this feature from Settings. On your iPhone or your iPad, open the “Settings” app to get started.
2. Visit Settings on iPhone
3. Choose the “Safari” app.
4. Tap Safari from Settings
5. Now, go to the “Reader” section.
6. Tap Reader from Safari
7. Toggle on the “All Websites” option.
How To Enable Reader View for All Safari's Websites
Now, when you open any web article in the Safari, it will open directly in Reader View.
Safari also allows you to exclude some particular websites from the feature of automatic Reader View.
1. To do this, open the website that you want to exclude, and then tap the “aA” button. Here, choose the “Website Settings” option.

3. Tap the toggle next to the “Use Reader Automatically” option to disable the website feature.
You can view a list of all the websites excluded from the Reader View by navigating to Settings > Safari > Reader. Here, you can re-enable websites if you choose to.

The process for enabling Reader View for all articles is kind of different on the Mac.
1. On your Mac, open the Safari app. Then, tap the “Safari” button from the top menu bar and select the “Preferences” option.

3. Go to the “Websites” tab and select the “Reader” option from the sidebar.
4. Click Websites and Choose Reader Section
5. From the bottom of your window, click the menu that is next to “When Visiting Other Websites” button then select the “On” option.

Now, all the articles that are supported will automatically open in Reader View.
To disable this feature for a particular website, first open the website in Safari, then right-click the Reader View button from the URL bar, and uncheck the “Use Reader View Automatically on (Website Name)” option.
How To Disable the Automatic Reader Mode for Safari Websites in Mac
If you want to view a list of all the websites where you have disabled this feature, you can go to Safari Preferences > Websites > Reader. From here, you can re-enable the feature for particular websites.
