How To Quickly Set A Timer On Your IPhone Or IPad

How to Quickly Set a Timer on Your iPhone or iPad.

How to Quickly Set a Timer Using center

Control Center on the iPhone or iPad gives you quick access to several toggles and features. you'll find a Timer icon on top of things Center on the iPhone (but not on the iPad) by default. If you can’t find the Timer button on top of things Center, you'll add it using the Settings app.

1. First, open the “Settings” on your iPhone or iPad.

2. In Settings, tap “Control Center,” then scroll down and tap the plus button (“+”) next to the “Timer” option. this may add the Timer button to rock bottom of center .

3. To change the order of the center icons, tap and drag the Menu icon (three-line icon) next to them.

4. Now that the Timer control has been added to the center , it’s time to use it.

5. On your iPhone or iPad, swipe down from the top-right corner of the screen to open center . If you’re using an older iPhone, swipe up from rock bottom of the screen instead.

6. Now, press and hold the Timer button. (Simply tapping the Timer icon will open the Timer section within the Clock app.)

7. You’ll see a pop-up with a vertical gauge covering the screen. Using your finger, you'll swipe up and right down to set a timer interval. This pop-up doesn’t allow you to set custom timers. you'll only choose from 1-4-minute, 5-minute, 10-minute, 15-minute, 20-minute, 30-minute, 45-minute, 1-hour, or 2-hour intervals.

8. After choosing your required time, tap the “Start” button.

9. As the timer ticks down, you’ll see the remaining time at the highest of the screen.

7. If you would like to go away this pop-up screen, tap the blurry area round the slider, and your timer will still run within the background. If you would like to return thereto later, reopen center and tap and hold the animated yellow Timer icon.

8. If you wish , you'll pause the timer by tapping the “Pause” button.

9. Then tap “Resume” to urge it going again. When the timer ends, you'll set another using an equivalent method.

How to Quickly Set a Timer Using Siri

While center allows you to quickly set a timer, you'll only choose between one among the preset options. What if you would like to line a 12-minute pasta timer? Well, a method to try to to this is often by asking Siri.

1. On your iPhone or iPad, mention Siri. If you have already got the Hey Siri feature enabled, all you've got to try to to is say “Hey Siri.” you'll also press and hold the Side button on your iPhone or iPad (which is that the same button that you simply use to wake your iPhone or iPad).

2. When Siri is prepared , just say, “Set a 12-minute timer.” Siri will offer you an audio confirmation, and you'll see the timer countdown at the highest of the screen.

3. To monitor your timer, say, “Show my timer” to Siri. To cancel a timer, just say, “Cancel my timer.”

4. Sadly, the iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch limit you to at least one timer at a time. If you would like to line multiple timers at an equivalent time, you’ll need to use the HomePod or another smart loudspeaker like Amazon Echo.
