How To Use Import From IPhone In Apple Pages
If you've never heard of the Insert from iPhone or iPad tool in Pages, you're in for a treat. It is no longer necessary to send yourself photos by iMessage, email, or AirDrop in order to incorporate them into your Pages project.
Even if you're a seasoned Apple Pages user, or if you're just getting started, this tutorial will walk you through the process of using this feature.
How to Send an Image Directly to Pages
Using Insert from iPhone or iPad lets you add images, scanned documents, and hand-drawn graphics to your work.
- In the menu bar at the very top of the screen, click Insert.
- Insert from iPhone or iPad can be found at the very bottom of the Insert option.
- You will find the options Take Photo, Scan Documents, and Add Sketch.
Take a Photo Into Pages
There are instructions for taking a picture and your device's name when you press the Take Photo button. If you change your mind, you may simply click the Cancel button in the same pop-up.
In either case, your editing privileges will be suspended until you take the appropriate action.
The camera on your device will automatically open when the pop-up appears. Retake and Use options are available even if you don't see any instructions on your iOS device after a photo has been taken.
Pressing “Use” places it where the cursor is now located in the document. After that, you can format it in any way you like.
Scan a Document Into Pages
When you use Scan Document, it’s similar to you taking a picture. When you choose this option, your camera will open and show you how to scan a document using the name of your device.
Once the camera and document are aligned, the image will be taken automatically. In addition, the color will appear washed out, as if it were being scanned in real time.
You can save the image after you've reviewed it quickly on your phone's screen while it's running. As long as you don't press the thumbnail image in the lower left corner of your device's screen, it will keep scanning. The automatic scanning feature is useful if you have a multi-page document. When you don't have to switch between devices, it saves you time. The problem is that it's easy to scan superfluous items or take a picture before it's ready to.
You may view, retake, and delete scans by tapping on the thumbnail image. If you don't like any of the scans that you take, you can delete them from Pages.
For a more direct method, simply right-click anywhere on your desktop and select Import from iPhone (or iPad).
Sketch Into Pages
You can add a sketch to your page by selecting the Add Sketch tool and following the directions on the page. A blank page will open up on your phone, allowing you to experiment with various drawing tools.
When you press the Done button, the drawing is automatically added to the document. If you don't want the text to wrap around it, you'll need to make some formatting adjustments because there is no boundary around it.
There are several places where you may find templates if you're having trouble coming up with your own design ideas for layouts.
