Redmi 10 With 50-Megapixel Primary Camera

The Redmi 10 smartphone was officially launched in Malaysia on Wednesday, following a flurry of teasers over the previous week. The smartphone, which is currently available in three RAM + storage configurations, is expected to expand to other markets in the near future. Among its many features are a 50-megapixel primary sensor for the phone's quad-rear camera setup, a 6.5-inch full-HD+ AdaptiveSync display with a refresh rate of 90Hz, and a MediaTek Helio G88 processor. 5,000mAh battery powers the Redmi 10, which is capable of both wireless charging and reverse wired charging. Xiaomi published a blog post last week that confirmed the device and revealed some of its key specifications for a brief period of time.

Xiaomi made the announcement of the Redmi 10 through a blog post on its official website. The blog post does not specify when or where the new smartphone will be made available for purchase. However, according to a tweet from Xiaomi Malaysia, the Redmi 10 will be available in two different configurations when it launches in the country. 

 

Price and availability of the Redmi 10

The 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant of the Redmi 10 is priced at $179 (approximately Rs. 13,300), the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is priced at $199 (approximately Rs. 14,800), and the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is priced at $219 (approximately Rs. 16,800). (roughly Rs. 16,300). The Redmi 10 will be available in three different color options: Carbon Grey, Pebble White, and Sea Blue. The blog post does not specify which markets will be available for launch, but it does mention that the product will be available on August 20.

Malaysia may be one of the launch markets, as the company's Twitter handle for the region has the same availability as the company's global handle. Moreover, it stated that a MYR 649 (roughly Rs. 11,400) price for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant, and a MYR 749 (roughly Rs. 12,400) price for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant (roughly Rs. 13,100).

 

Specifications and features of the Redmi 10

The Redmi 10 is powered by MIUI 12.5, which is based on Android 11. 6.5-inch full-HD+ (1,080x2,400 pixels) AdaptiveSync display with 90Hz refresh rate is featured on this device. Reading Mode 3.0 and Sunlight display are also available on its display. Powered by a MediaTek Helio G88 processor with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, it is a powerful smartphone.

It comes with a quad-rear camera setup, which is led by a primary sensor with a resolution of 50 megapixels, as standard. The camera also comes equipped with an 8 megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, as well as two 2-megapixel sensors for macro and depth photography. An 8-megapixel sensor is in charge of taking selfies and making video calls. There's also an in-line 3.5mm headphone jack and two speakers on board. The Redmi 10 also includes a fingerprint sensor on the side of the device as well as AI face unlock.

The Redmi 10 is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. Xiaomi, on the other hand, will include a 22.5W fast charger in the box. Reverse wired charging is also supported by the smartphone, with a capacity of 9W. It has the following dimensions: 161.95x75.53x8.92mm and weighs 181 grams. Xiaomi has not yet revealed the complete set of specifications for the newly launched smartphone, but the specifications that have been released so far correspond to the specifications listed in an accidentally published blog post from last week.
