The launch of Endeavor Nigeria's ScaleUp program has been announced
To build a formidable business ecosystem that will last for generations, it is necessary to first develop people into leaders. When the desired ecosystem has been established, these leaders will stay in touch with one another throughout the process.
Entrepreneurship development organization Endeavor Nigeria has announced the first cohort of entrepreneurs for its 10-week Endeavor ScaleUp Program, which aims to contribute to the development of the desired ecosystem. The mission of Endeavor ScaleUp is to connect Nigeria's most promising and high-impact business leaders to a global network of resources and opportunities.
The program has chosen seven entrepreneurs from four Nigerian startups to participate in the program. Those who participate will have access to cutting-edge business support services such as mentorship and fundraising assistance as well as partnerships with other businesses and an ongoing network of powerful entrepreneurs.
In addition to Ikenna Nzewi and Uzoma Ayogu, co-founders and CEOs of Releaf, an agritech startup that uses technology to grow food factories in Africa; Tomilola Majekodunmi, co-founder and CEO of Bankly, a fintech startup that provides cash digitisation services through its online and offline channels; and John Oke, CEO of Wallet Africa, a fintech startup that enables Africans to send and receive
A series of group workshops will be led by Endeavor entrepreneurs, board members, and mentors throughout the program, during which participants will receive direct and actionable feedback to help them grow as business leaders.
What to Expect from the Workshop
The workshops will be facilitated by Bolaji Balogun, CEO of Chapel Hill Denham and Vice Chairman of the Endeavor Nigeria Board of Directors; Ife Orioke, CIO and co-founder of Flutterwave; and Tosin Eniolorunda, CEO and co-founder of TeamApt.
Members of the new cohort will be mentored by Seni Adetu, former MD and CEO of Guiness Nigeria Plc; Adepeju Adebajo, former CEO of Lumos Nigeria; Anders Einarsson, CEO Food Products International, Promasidor Nigeria Limited; and Felix Ike, co-founder and chief technology officer of TeamApt.

Endeavor's network, which was established in 1999 and spans nearly 40 markets, supports over 2,000 entrepreneurs whose companies collectively generate more than $28 billion in revenue, have created more than 3.9 million jobs, and will raise more than $4 billion in capital in the first half of 2020.

With the mission of strengthening entrepreneurship ecosystems in high-growth markets around the world, Endeavor established a country office in Nigeria in 2018. The country office will identify and support 4-6 of the most promising founders of businesses in the scale-up and growth stages.
