Duelist Agents are popular because they win most gunfights between two people in Valorant, but which one is the best?
Valorant has become one of the most popular tactical shooter games as its popularity has grown. Each Agent, which is a playable character, has its own set of skills that it can use to its advantage each round.
There are a lot of great agents in Valorant, but the Duelists are some of the most popular choices among players. Duelist Agents are the best at one-on-one fights because they have kits that let them win any gun battle. Most teams should put duelists at the top of their fraggers, since their job is to rack up kills. Here are all of the Duelist Agents in Valorant, in order of how often Radiant-ranked players chose them.
Yoru
Act 1 of Episode 2 is when Yoru became the 14th agent for Valorant. People know that the Japanese agent can move between dimensions, trick his opponents, and teleport around the map.
Basic Abilities: Fakeout and Blindside
When Fakeout is used, it turns Yoru into a mirror image that walks forward in a straight line. It can be turned on right away or set up as an echo that can be turned on from far away. When the mirror image is shot, it explodes and lights up a large area. Blindside is a blinding ability that lets Yoru throw a piece of space-time that bounces off a surface and shines brightly for 1.75 seconds, making nearby players lose their vision.
Signature Ability: Gatecrash
This ability makes a rift tether on the floor that moves forward and lets Yoru teleport to it. The rift can be seen and destroyed by enemies who are close to it. By firing in different directions, the rift stays still. When turned on, it teleports in 1.2 seconds and makes a loud noise that can be heard up to 42.5 meters away.
Ultimate Ability: Dimensional Drift
It lets you go into Yoru's dimension, where the other team won't be able to see you. When you go back to the real world, an audio cue will play, and you won't be able to fire your weapon for 0.8 seconds.
Yoru's abilities are fantastic for throwing off your opponents and gaining the upper hand, but they can become predictable after a while. His ultimate ability lets him shine, giving you the chance to check out an area or use Blindside to help your team take a site. Overall, Yoru's kit feels more like a gimmick than other Duelists' kits, which is why Yoru is the least-picked Duelist in Valorant.
Neon
Neon is an exciting Filipino agent who loves to run around the battlefield. Jett's "Tail Wind" gives her a quick burst of speed, but Neon can run across a whole map without even getting out of breath.
Passive: Energy
Energy is a simple passive that just talks about Neon's energy bar, which she needs to use her abilities. It is needed to use High Gear and Overdrive, and it slowly comes back over time. However, killing an enemy fills the bar right away.
Basic Abilities: Fast Lane and Relay Bolt
Fast Lane makes two smoke walls, one on each side of Neon, that move forward. The walls can move up to 45 meters forward and last for six seconds. Relay Bolt is a stun ability that sends a forward-moving energy bolt that bounces off the first thing it hits to create a powerful blast. Both of these abilities work as soon as they are used.
Signature Ability: High Gear
High Gear is a great skill that lets Neon run all over the map quickly. When activated, you can use alt-fire to make her slide, which lets her keep moving forward for seven meters and drops her to crouching height.
Ultimate Ability: Overdrive
Neon's ultimate ability instantly gives her more Energy and lets her keep moving in High Gear while charging a beam of lightning from her fingertips. The beam moves very precisely and does about 20 damage to the enemy every second it is on them.
Overall, Neon is a fun agent to play if you like to be aggressive, but her skills aren't very good. Overdrive is a great way to get from A to B, but you can't shoot while using it, and if you don't have your slide, there is a delay when pulling out your weapon when it is turned off. Her biggest problem is that she can't stay alive for long and does not deal a lot of damage. This is why the Duelist agents don't choose her very often.
Phoenix
Valorant has had Phoenix as a playable agent since the game came out. Phoenix is from the United Kingdom. He is the perfect duelist and has the gift of being able to use fire.
Passive: Heating Up
Blaze and Hot Hands heal Phoenix for up to 50 health while they are active.
Basic Abilities: Blaze and Curveball
Blaze is an ability that blocks your vision for eight seconds by making a long wall of fire. It hurts people who walk through it, but it heals Phoenix. Curveball is a blind ability where Phoenix sends a fireball around a corner that blinds players for 1.5 seconds.
Signature Ability: Hot Hands
Phoenix can use Hot Hands, a molly ability, to throw a fireball that explodes after 1.5 seconds or when it hits the floor, whichever comes first. The fireball sets the floor on fire for four seconds, hurting players who walk on it and healing Phoenix while he stands on it.
Ultimate Ability: Run It Back
A passive skill that puts a respawn marker on the ground that burns for ten seconds. During this time, you can use weapons and abilities as usual, and if you die or the timer runs out, you'll respawn at the marker you put down.
The whole Phoenix kit is so good. He can hide behind Blaze to get into a place and heal himself by standing in his fire powers. Hot Hands could be used either to attack or to defend. Run It Back is great for pushing areas, but it is risky to use because your respawn marker is easy to camp.
Raze
Raze has been on the Valorant team since the game first came out. The Brazilian agent is all about causing damage and has a kit that can be used in many different ways.
Basic Abilities: Boom Bot and Blast Pack
Raze's intel-gaining ability, Boom Bot, drops a robot on the floor that moves in straight lines for five seconds. Once it sees an enemy within three meters of its vision cone, it explodes, dealing up to 100 damage to players nearby. Blast Pack is a way for Raze to move around. She throws a bag that can be blown up to propel her through the air or hurt her opponents.
Signature Ability: Paint Shells
Raze throws a cluster grenade that explodes and then sends out four more grenades over a six-meter area as a way to scare people away. Depending on how close they are to the center of the explosion, enemies caught in the explosion will take between 15 and 55 damage.
Ultimate Ability: Showstopper
Raze uses a rocket launcher for 10 seconds and fires a missile that does 30-150 damage to all enemies in a 7-meter radius around it. Raze is pushed back a little when he shoots, which he can use to his advantage in the air.
Boom Bot isn't very exciting, but it can help you find out if there are enemies nearby. Blast Packs help you move quickly and can get you easy kills if you use them in creative ways, but they are hard to master. Raze's signature and ultimate skills are good and easy to use, and her high damage output makes it clear why she is one of the most popular Duelists.
Reyna
Reyna is the empress of Mexico and one of Valorant's most dangerous agents. When Slope Game first came out, she was one of the best duelists right away because of her devour ability.
Passive: Soul Harvest
This passive makes any enemy that dies up to three seconds after taking damage from Reyna drop a Soul Orb that Reyna can use for her Devour and Dismiss abilities.
Basic Ability: Leer
Leer makes an ethereal, breakable eye that can be thrown 10 meters forward and goes through walls. If an opponent looks at the eye, they will be unable to see far away for 1.6 seconds, or until they destroy it.
Signature Abilities: are Devour and Dismiss
Devour is one of Valorant's most powerful skills, and it makes Reyna one of the hardest agents to kill. When you kill an enemy, they leave behind a soul orb that you can eat to heal yourself for 100 health over three seconds. You can also overheal up to 50 health, but it goes away over 30 seconds. When you use a soul orb with Dismiss, you can become intangible for two seconds. This makes you immune to damage, but you can't use any weapons or abilities.
Ultimate Ability: Empress
Reyna goes into a rage for 30 seconds. During this time, her firing speed goes up by 15% and her equipping and reloading speeds go up by 25%. It shows them in red if they are in her line of sight. When Devour is used in this form, it automatically starts Dismiss, which makes you completely invisible for the duration. Also, killing an opponent extends Empress's time until the next turn.
Reyna is a duelist, which means that she depends on you to get kills. Since her Soul Harvest passive is the main part of her abilities, missing shots can be very bad, and if you don't have any ways to move around, you can be completely defenseless. Reyna is a scary Duelist who can easily carry a team if you can land those head taps.
Jett
Jett is from South Korea, and he is all about being mobile and moving quickly. She has been in Valorant since the beginning, and her wind powers make her the most mobile agent in the game.
Passive Ability: Drift
Drift is a passive mobility ability that lets you avoid taking damage when you fall by holding down the jump key. During this, Jett's movement is slowed down a lot, but she can still drift forward and land without making a sound.
Basic Abilities: Cloudburst and Updraft
Cloudburst is a smoke ability where Jett throws a projectile that turns into a ball of wind for 4.5 seconds after hitting a surface or being in the air for 2 seconds, whichever comes first. Updraft is a way for Jett to move around that sends him flying.
Signature Ability: Tailwind
When used, Jett is surrounded by a gust of wind that, when used again, will push her in any direction she is going. If she isn't moving, the ability will push her forward.
Ultimate Ability: Blade Storm
This ability gives Jett five knives that he can throw with pinpoint accuracy. The knives reload after killing an enemy. When you use alt firing, all of your knives are thrown at once in a burst. This is less accurate, and killing someone does not reload your knives.
Jett is the best duelist because she can move around more than any other agent. He is a beast with the Operator sniper rifle because Tailwind lets her run for cover right after firing a shot. Jett is a hard agent to play against, whether it's because he can quickly hide with Tailwind or because he can surprise enemies in Heaven with Updraft. When you add in her ability to hit people in the head with knives, it's easy to see why Jett has always been the most-sought-after Duelist in Valorant.
