A Quick Guide To Using Chipper Cash In Nigeria
It's still difficult to send and receive money across borders, despite the rapid expansion of electronic payments in Nigeria (and throughout Africa). With Chipper Cash, sending money to other African countries has never been easier or faster.
When you use Chipper Cash, transferring money is as easy as receiving it. There is also a great deal of competition in the exchange rates. To pay for cable TV, internet, and electricity, you can also use Chipper Cash to send money and buy airtime.

Available and Platform Support
Chipper Cash is currently only available on smartphones; web support has not yet been implemented. Both Android and iOS devices can use the service. The application's download links are below.
Chipper Cash is available in Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Ghana. Additionally, South Africa has become the company's seventh African location.
Registration and Onboarding
In order to use Chipper Cash in Nigeria, a phone number is required to create an account. Your email address is another option. After that, you'll need to enter the verification code that was sent to the phone number or email address you provided when you registered.
If you registered with your phone number, you can choose to verify it via USSD — either by tapping the dial button or manually entering/dialing the provided USSD shortcode on your phone's dialer. Additionally, you will be required to verify your phone number whenever you sign out of the app.
Chipper Cash has the additional feature of allowing you to sign in with multiple phone numbers or email addresses to your wallet or account. Select "Personal," then "Add Phone or Email" on your Account Profile page in order to add additional phone numbers.
No matter how many phone numbers or email addresses can be linked to one wallet/account, it's a cool feature that allows for more convenient and secure login options.
It's possible to access (and verify) your Chipper Cash wallet even if you've misplaced your primary phone number.
Transfer Limits and Account Verification
As a newly-registered user, you can receive an unlimited amount of money from anyone, anywhere. However, you can only transfer between N4,000,000 and N20,000,000 (N 20,000,000). (N20,000,000). The daily withdrawal limit for new users is twenty thousand naira (N20,000).
An ID verification is required in order to raise this limit. It is necessary for Nigerian users to submit their BVN and take a selfie in order to do this. In order to increase your transaction limits, Chipper Cash will verify the information you provided and do so accordingly. To activate your 'Chipper Account Number,' you must also verify your account information (more on this later).
After providing the necessary information, verification can take a few minutes (or even several hours) (or even several hours). Verified users can do the following:

Funding Wallet
Chipper Cash wallets can only be funded with credit cards at this time for Nigerian users. You must deposit N10 (Nine Naira) into your account in order to add a bank card as a first-time user.
Sending Money
Sending money to other Chipper Cash users registered in your phonebook is made possible by Chipper Cash. You can also send money to people who aren't Chipper Cash users. To receive the funds, the recipient will be prompted (via SMS) to create a Chipper Cash account.
Note: You'll get your money back if the recipient doesn't set up an account to claim it.
Tap the 'Send' button on the Activity page and select the Chipper Cash user or contact from whom you wish to send money before clicking 'Send.' I adored Chipper Cash's segmentation and identification of contacts; contacts who are registered with Chipper Cash are displayed at the top of the Contacts page with their country flag and full name.
Use the search box to find other Chipper Cash users whose usernames aren't in your address book or address book. By scanning a QR code, you can send money to a user in a matter of seconds.
In addition, Chipper Cash offers extremely low exchange rates. Official Naira to Uganda Shilling exchange rate was 1 = UGX 9.60; Chipper Cash had a slightly lower (but reasonable) rate of 1 UGX 9.00.

Payment of Bills
Using Chipper Cash, you can pay your internet, electricity, and television bills, as previously mentioned. The app made it easy for me to add airtime to my phone. You can also use the 'Contacts' button to buy airtime for a specific person.
DStv and GOtv bill payments in Nigeria can be made with Chipper Cash. 2 percent discount on all airtime purchases makes this the best feature. As an additional perk, bill payments are completely free. This makes Chipper Cash one of the few providers that do not charge users to pay bills, send money, or fund accounts.
Withdrawal
Chipper Cash also offers free bill payments, purchases of airtime, and other services. In order to withdraw funds from the Chipper Wallet, Nigerian users must use a bank account. Set up your bank account information by going to Profile > Cash Out.
Go to Profile > Payment Methods to add a bank account. My withdrawal was processed in seconds, and my bank was immediately credited.
Auxiliary Bank Account
In addition, Chipper Cash users receive a bank account (powered by Providus Bank) (powered by Providus Bank). This account (dubbed the "Chipper Account Number") functions identically to a standard bank account; money can be deposited from banks and banking apps. Your Chipper Wallet will be credited with the funds.
You can deposit money into your Chipper Wallet from this additional bank account. A user's account number, on the other hand, is not assigned automatically. If you want one, you must make a request for it. Using your Profile, tap the "Incomplete Account Number" button.
When you submit a request, Chipper Cash will evaluate it, and then inform you of the outcome. Hours or even days may be required to complete this task
Money Request
Chipper Cash's 'Request' feature allows you to ask your contacts or other Chipper Cash users for money if you run out of money or owe someone money.
Privacy and Security
Chipper Cash has security measures in place to keep your money and account safe. As previously mentioned, whenever you sign out of the Chipper Cash app, Two-Step Authentication (via SMS) must be completed before you can log back into your account.
You'll also have to enter your Chipper PIN every time you close the app to keep it safe. You will be protected from unauthorized access to your Chipper Cash dashboard with this extra layer of security. The 'Hide Balance' switch can be used to hide your balance from the home screen.
Faster, Cheaper, and Better
For the average African smartphone user, Chipper Cash is an excellent app. In addition, the app's interface is intuitive and well-thought-out. Free bill payments and discounted airtime will also save you money over time. Instantaneous money transfers, bill payments, deposits, and so on. There is no difference in speed between international and domestic transfers.
Additionally, you can contact the Chipper Cash Customer Care Team via social media. Even though I haven't used the in-app support, I have been in touch with the customer service team on Twitter a few times. While the answers to my questions did not come right away, they were provided just in time.
