inq.Digital, a leading cloud and digital services provider, was named Emerging Smart Solutions Enabler Company of the Year and Enterprise Broadband Services Provider of the Year at the 12th edition of the Beacon of ICT (BoICT) Awards, which took place at the Eko Hotels and Suites in Lagos.
The Beacon of ICT awards are widely regarded as the most prestigious annual event in the country's ICT industry. The theme for this year's edition is "5G: Exploring New Frontiers for Superior Service Delivery," which capitalizes heavily on the buzz surrounding 5G. "If fully realized, 5G will accelerate the growth of the Internet of Things, enabling a smarter and more connected world," the organizers explain.
While presenting the awards, Ken Nwogbo, Publisher of Nigeria Communications Week, stated that "the award is a testament to the talents, innovations, contributions, and commitments to the growth of the ICT industry, demonstrating that industry stakeholders and members of the public value inq. Digital's hard work, sincerity, and dedication toward development."

Prof. Umar Danbatta, executive vice chairman, Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) Danbatta was represented by Muhammed Rudman, Chief Executive Officer, Internet Exchange Point of Nigeria. Danbatta commended inq.Digital Nigeria, the winner of the Emerging Smart Solutions Enabler Company of the Year and Enterprise Broadband Services Provider of the Year, and encouraged the business to continue providing leadership.
He stated that 5G is the best path forward for serious technology-driven countries, and Nigeria is committed to leading the way, as evidenced by our collaboration with countries, institutions, and organizations that are already ahead of us.
