Canva Gears Up for $1.5 Billion Share Sale

Canva, the Australian design software company, is in the final stages of a share sale involving investors, including current and former staff, aiming to generate over $1.5 billion in proceeds, as reported by Bloomberg.

The transaction, led by Goldman Sachs, is expected to maintain the company's valuation at $26 billion from its previous funding round.

Although the deal details may evolve during ongoing discussions, the share sale does not involve raising new capital. Canva, catering to non-professional graphic designers, boasts 170 million monthly active users in 190 countries, with annualized revenue surpassing $2 billion last year.

Major corporate clients include FedEx, Starbucks, and Zoom. Existing investors in Canva include Blackbird Ventures, Franklin Templeton, and Bessemer Venture Partners.

The company acquired Flourish, an online chart design tool, in 2022 for an undisclosed amount.
