Also, check our Free Tiger Coloring Pages.

The series is known for its characters and stories and the visual design of many aspects. One of the most popular of these designs is the iconic Stormtrooper helmet.

Worn by soldiers of the Empire, this helmet has become highly recognizable. Learning how to draw a stormtrooper helmet can also be great fun, but it can also be challenging!

We want to take care of that today, so you should read this tutorial to the end.

We hope you enjoy this step-by-step tutorial on how to draw a stormtrooper helmet in just 6 easy steps.

How to Draw A Stormtrooper Helmet

Step 1

We will take the above things literally as we begin this tutorial on drawing a Stormtrooper helmet.

You can start by drawing a long thin border that runs the full length of the helmet. Once drawn, you can add a curved line above it for the curved top of the helmet.

The top of the helmet will be fairly rounded, but the top will be somewhat flat. That's all you need to do for this step. Now you are ready for step two of the guide!

Step 2

In the second part of this Stormtrooper helmet drawing, we'll draw the top left side of the helmet. First, we draw the left eye of the helmet.

This will take on a triangular wedge with the thin end angled inwards. This section of the eye will also include some detailing to give it some depth.

Next, use a straight line for the top of that side of the helmet, extending into the filter area on the bottom.

You can complete this step by drawing rounded shapes in the top left. We will add the helmet in the next part if it looks like our reference image.

Step 3

In this third step of our How to Draw a Stormtrooper Helmet guide, you'll repeat what you did in the previous step.

This means you will draw another section of the eye along with the other parts of the top of the helmet. When drawing these elements, ensure they remain as symmetrical as possible.

Then you can finish this step by adding a curved line on the left side of the curved part of the helmet top. Then you can continue with step 4!

Step 4

The next steps of this stormtrooper helmet drawing are all about finishing the final details and elements.

First, we'll start with the front part that protrudes past the nose. This thin shape is drawn with two curved, wavy lines at each end.

Next, draw some vertical lines along the inside of this flat shape.

Next, we draw the beginning of the front opening of the mouthpiece for the helmet. Draw a rounded section on the lower right side of the helmet, and then draw a small part protruding from a small indentation in the section.

It may sound not easy, but it becomes clear when referring to the reference image!

Finish this step by drawing several thin vertical shapes of different heights side by side.

Step 5

You are now ready to finish the final details and elements in this step of our How to Draw a Stormtrooper Helmet tutorial.

First, you can repeat what you did in the last step to reproduce the ventilation section for the other side of the bottom of the helmet.

Then, when the helmet design is complete, we add some curvy line details all over the helmet to finish it off.

These details help make the helmet a bit brighter.

You can also continue this design by drawing an interesting background or additional details for the picture.

Step 6

The final step in drawing this Stormtrooper helmet is finishing it with some paint!

The classic Stormtrooper helmet design has a black-and-white color scheme, but we've gone for a twist on the silver color scheme in our sample image.

You could go for a similar look for your design, but there are many variations from Star Wars movies and other media!
