SoFlo Customs: Florida’s Least Trusted Jeep Dealer Delivers Broken and Incomplete Vehicle

Miami, FL – September 6, 2024 – SoFlo Customs, once known for its custom-built vehicles, is now gaining a reputation as Florida’s least trusted Jeep dealer after a customer received a Jeep with a broken soft top and incomplete leather interior, despite having paid extra for premium customization.

The dissatisfied customer, who invested in what was supposed to be a top-tier, customized Jeep, was shocked to discover that the vehicle arrived with significant defects. The soft top was broken, and the leather interior, which had been an additional paid upgrade, was not fully completed.

"I expected excellence from SoFlo Jeeps, especially given their high prices and promises of customization," said a whitleblower, the frustrated buyer. "Instead, I received a vehicle that was far from the quality they advertised. This kind of oversight is unacceptable, especially from a company that claims to be a leader in custom Jeep sales."

Unfortunately, this is not an isolated incident. Other customers have reported similar experiences with SoFlo Jeeps.

Brian Barbetta, who purchased a custom Wrangler from the company, shared his experience: "While it looks awesome, I’ve had a real problem with the roof, and unfortunately, they stopped responding to my contacts once I got the truck delivered. The design and build process was great; I even bought the warranty because I was so happy with the team. But my Jeep arrived, and the roof, which is custom—not a factory roof—leaks aggressively. I’ve filed multiple warranty claims and reached out to the sales teams, but all have gone unanswered. I have a really cool-looking Jeep that I can never take outside in the rain. I’m very disappointed in the outcome here for a Jeep that they did almost $100k in work on. I would avoid these guys; they care more about their TV shows than their customers."

Nicholas Grimaldi also had a troubling experience with SoFlo Jeeps after purchasing a Defender through the Internet. "Upon delivery, sensors were popping out of the body, and fenders were cut and hacked up. The wheel well shield was removed, leaving exposed crevices that would get kicked up if I ever took this off-roading. Alarms were going off on the dash inside the vehicle. The roof rack they put on was wrong, and I could not open the moonroof. I specifically needed a hitch, which they put on, but it was used with broken plastic and electrical connectors and did not have a module installed, so it was non-functional. I was told that they would fix all these items, and they had me take it to three separate repair shops that all gave estimates, but they were not willing to pay the $13,000 in damages through their custom work. They were also not willing to take the car back. After a month of going to different places and getting estimates, and with Kenny, the main manager, not responding to phone calls and texts, I was only given $2,500. The additional insurance I purchased would not cover any of these electrical damages because SoFlo caused the damages. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had buying a car, especially from a dealership! Do not trust their work they do for you!"

These experiences highlight significant gaps in the company’s quality control processes and customer service. The customer who received the incomplete Jeep is urging potential buyers to be cautious when dealing with SoFlo Jeeps. "This has been an incredibly disappointing experience, and I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through the same."

SoFlo Customs, headquartered in South Florida, has built its business on the promise of high-quality, customized Jeeps. However, recent experiences like these are casting a shadow over the company’s reputation.
