How to export AOL Mail Contact

Creating an AOL Mail Contacts File

Most email programs and services will accept the contact information you export from your AOL Mail address because the file formats available allow you to import it directly or through a translation program into them.

You can save your AOL Mail address book to a file by following the steps outlined below:

1. Select Contacts from the list of AOL Mail folders.

2. In the Contacts toolbar, select More and then Export from the drop-down menu.

3. In the Export Contacts dialog box, select CSV as the file format for the exported contact list.

4. Select Export from the drop-down menu.

5. A file named contacts.csv will be downloaded to your computer by your computer.

The CSV file can be imported into a large number of other email programs as well as Outlook (import CSV into Outlook and import CSV into Gmail).
