Many people love stop motion movies. Whether it is the Red-Nosed, Reindeer iconic Rudolph, or the more modern films like that of the Coraline, stop motion has got a huge distinct aesthetic. If you have an android phone, iPhone or iPad that has a camera, you can make your own.

You might have probably seen some stop-motion videos, but you do not know or you are wondering how they’re made. A stop motion video is actually just a sequence of photos. The illusion of the motion is created by just moving the objects over so slightly in each photo and the stitching them together. It’s just an essential one long flipbook.

There are still a handful of various great stop motion video apps that are out there. In this guide, we’ll be making illustration with a free app called “Stop Motion Studio.” It can be downloaded for free on your iPhone, iPad, and Android devices.

How To Make Use of The Stop-Motion Videos with Your Android, iPad, and iPhone

1. To begin with, first open the Stop Motion Studio app on your Android, iPad or your iPhone device and then grant the necessary permissions that will take you to the photos, videos and record audio section.

 

2. After permission is granted the next is to tap “New Movie” to start a new project. The video editor screen will surface. There are numbers of button to the left and right of the viewfinder. The timeline is located across the bottom of the screen, which is the place the frames will appear.

Here are the functions button

Back: Go back to the main screen.

Voice Over: Record audio over the video.

Add: The Add images, The titles and credits, audio, and video clips.

Settings: You can Adjust your FPS (playback speed), and add the fade transitions, also change the aspect ratio, and more.

Undo: Remove your last frame.

Help: The Info about the buttons.

Play: The Playback the frames.

Capture: The Capture frames.

 

3. Now tap the camera icon to start adding frames to your video. On this screen, you have got a few options as well.

The Overlay: Select the number of previous frames to show on top of the camera.

Transparency: Adjust the transparency of the overlays.

Grid: The Shot alignment grid.

Back: Return to the editor screen.

Play: Playback the frames.

Timer: Add a timer to the shutter.

Capture: Snap a photo

Settings: The camera function to switch between front and back cameras, adjust focus modes, and to zoom in or out.

 

4. It’s best for you to adjust all the settings before you begin taking photos. It is recommended to use one overlay with light transparency and autofocus.

 

5. Now capture the screen layout. Line up the shot and click on the camera button to take the first shot. Take the first frame, make an Adjustment to the objects in the shot and click the camera button to take the next photo.

 

6. Repeat the process until you have moved the objects to your liking. Click the play button at any time to see a quick preview of your progress so far.

 

7. When you are done playing to see progress, click the back arrow button to go to the editor screen. Now tap back to finish.

 

8. You can still scroll through the bottom timeline to view all the frames. Click a frame to bring up some of the editing tools for the specific frame you want. This is the area where you can either remove frames or insert new ones.

 

9. When the video is to your taste, click the back arrow to lead you to the main screen. You can export your video now and also share it. Touch and hold the project file you have done. Click on the play icon to see a preview of how your final video will look. If you’re ok with it and ready to share, click the share icon.

 

10. Now choose the “Export Movie” to download the file or yoi can share it with another app. You can also export it as an “Animated GIF.” Just tap the export button.

 

11. Now from the share menu, choose “Save As,” or choose an app that you can save directly. The video will then be saved on your device.
