The Memory Configurations For Intel Arc Alchemist Have Been Confirmed By A Leaked Slide

DG2 Graphics Memory Configuration,.

The memory configurations for Intel Arc Alchemist have been confirmed by a leaked slide

The leaked slide, titled "DG2 Graphics Memory configuration," was distributed via the Internet by HXL, a well-known leaker who has a proven track record of leaking sensitive information. An information table summarizes the specifications of five DG2 NB (notebook) configurations, which may or may not be identical to the desktop configurations, is included on the slide as well.

Starting with the DG2 SKU with 512EUs, which can support up to eight 2GB memory modules (16GB of VRAM) and a data transfer rate of 16Gbps. This is the most powerful configuration. The 256-bit memory bus has a bandwidth limit of 512 GB/s, which is not very fast. The I/O voltage of this SKU has been set to 1.35V.

According to the SKU DG2-384EU, up to six 2GB VRAM modules can be used together to provide up to a total memory capacity of 12GB. The I/O voltage is 1.35V, and the memory operates at 16Gbps over a 192-bit memory bus, with a maximum bandwidth of 384GB/s. The memory operates over a 192-bit memory bus, with a maximum bandwidth of 384GB/s.

The 256EU SKU is located in the middle of the lineup and comes equipped with 8GB of GDDR6 memory (four modules of 2GB each) that operates at 16Gbps. A 128-bit memory bus allows for a maximum bandwidth of 256GB/s on a single channel. This SKU has the same I/O voltage as the 512EU and 384EU SKUs, which is 1.35V.

Finally, there are the 128EU and 96EU SKUs, both of which have the same memory configuration as the previous models. They can accommodate up to two 14Gbps VRAM modules (4GB in total) and can deliver a maximum bandwidth of 112GB/s through a 64-bit memory interface. Because their I/O voltages are set lower (at 1.25V) in comparison to the other SKUs, they operate at a slower rate when storing data.

The fact that there are five SKUs listed in the table does not imply that there will be only five mobile GPUs available. RTX graphics cards such as the RTX 3090Ti, RTX 3090, RTX 3080Ti, RTX 3080, and RTX 3080 12G/10G are powered by the GA 102 SKU, as are some RTX workstation (A4500, A5000, and A6000) and professional (A10 and A40) graphics cards powered by the GA 102 SKU, for example. Consequently, when they are released, expect to see more than five different mobile GPU options available.

In related news, the SiSoftware Sandra result for Intel's supposedly flagship desktop GPU, the Core i7-7700K, was recently discovered in the benchmark database. These results indicate that the Intel card is on par with the RTX 3070Ti in terms of performance. Who is to say what should be done? It's possible that these findings can be replicated on a laptop computer.
