Swiss Digital Coaching Platform FLOWIT Lands €4.2M in Seed Investment

Swiss digital coaching platform FLOWIT has successfully secured €4.2 million in Seed funding to enhance its innovative employee development services. The platform is tailored specifically for non-desk employees, such as service technicians, healthcare workers, and hospitality staff—groups that are often overlooked in traditional employee development programs.

Launched in September 2021, FLOWIT has rapidly gained traction, acquiring over 70 customers in the DACH region, which includes Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. These customers span various industries, including healthcare, hospitality, and real estate, reflecting the platform's broad appeal and utility. Currently, more than 30,000 employees are using FLOWIT’s software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution.

FLOWIT addresses a critical need by providing real-time feedback and development tools designed to improve employee engagement and reduce turnover. The platform’s capabilities include automated processes, AI-driven dashboards, and features such as employee satisfaction surveys and customizable focus areas for development. By streamlining HR tasks and offering actionable insights, FLOWIT helps companies reduce turnover costs by up to 50 percent and enhances employees' emotional and normative commitment to their workplaces.

The recent funding round was co-led by Vi Partners and Alstin Capital, with notable participation from investor Daniel Gutenberg. Gaetano Zanon of Vi Partners highlighted FLOWIT's use of generative AI to support the vast majority of the global workforce that does not work at desks, emphasizing the platform's innovative approach. 

Alexander Meyer-Scharenberg of Alstin Capital has underscored the critical labor shortage in Germany, emphasizing the pressing need for effective solutions to address this issue. He praised FLOWIT for its innovative approach to mitigating employee turnover, a major cost factor for companies. By focusing on non-desk employees—such as those in service, healthcare, and hospitality sectors—FLOWIT offers a targeted solution that addresses a significant gap in traditional employee development.

Meyer-Scharenberg noted that in a country facing a severe shortage of skilled labor, FLOWIT’s platform stands out as a vital tool for retaining valuable staff. The company’s AI-powered digital coaching not only helps in reducing turnover rates but also enhances overall employee engagement and satisfaction. This can lead to substantial cost savings for companies, as high employee turnover often results in increased recruitment and training expenses.

He highlighted that FLOWIT’s solution is particularly relevant in the current economic climate, where efficient workforce management is more crucial than ever. By providing real-time feedback and development opportunities, FLOWIT helps companies maintain a committed and satisfied workforce, thus addressing one of the most pressing challenges faced by HR departments in Germany and beyond. Looking ahead, FLOWIT plans to expand its team from the current 20 employees to 50 by the end of 2025 to keep up with growing demand and drive international expansion. Despite the challenging economic landscape, the company is poised to leverage its new funding to enhance its offerings and extend its global reach.  

The founding team of FLOWIT comprises Stephan Müller as Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Bilâl Tahris as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Yasemin Tahris as Chief Experience Officer (CXO), and Hosam Shahin as Chief Strategy Officer (CSO).
