Check out these five recent action movies that you'll like.

Fast Five (2011)

Action flick Fast Five was directed by Justin Lin and written by Chris Morgan in 2011. Vin Diesel and Paul Walker return as Dominic Toretto and Brian O'Conner, respectively, in this fifth film in the Fast Five franchise. Starring Dwayne Johnson and Gal Gadot in the film are Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Sung Kang, and Matt Schulze.

Federal agent Luke Hobbs sets out to apprehend Dom and Brian as they put the finishing touches on their last assignment before retiring as ex-convict racers. However, the lawman ultimately joins forces with the criminals in return for his release after learning that much of his background has been faked and that he was set up for murder at the behest of powerful government officials.

On October 18, 2011, it debuted at the Rio de Janeiro Film Festival. On April 27, 2012, it was released in cinemas throughout the globe.

Alien: Covenant (2017)

The colonists on board the Covenant find what they believe to be an unexplored paradise on their way to a planet on the other side of the galaxy. But it takes a little while to see that the planet they've arrived on may not be as ideal as they'd hoped.

Ridley Scott helms the 9xmovies stars Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, and Demián Bichir. Twenty-First Century Fox Film Corporation and Scott Free Productions are present in conjunction with Brandywine Productions. 20th Century Fox handles distribution.

The first public screening of Alien: Covenant took place at the 2017 San Diego Comic-Con International on July 22, and the film was released in theatres throughout the United States on May 19, 2017. The film's graphics and the performances of Michael Fassbender and Katherine Waterston were lauded, but reviewers were divided on the picture as a whole.

Wonder Woman (2017)

Patty Jenkins helms this superhero flick, which stars Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. The film follows Diana Prince, an Amazonian warrior, and superhero, as she fights evil in the 1920s. She uncovers information about her history and future as she battles alongside soldiers in World War I. It was released on June 2, 2017, to favorable critical acclaim.

The film's aesthetics, photography, and Gal Gadot's portrayal as Wonder Woman were acclaimed, although the pace and language were sometimes questioned. It was a strong contender with three nods from the Golden Globes, including Best Motion Picture – Drama. It won Best Costume Design and Best Production Design at the 90th Academy Awards.

When adjusted for inflation, Wonder Woman's $821 million worldwide makes it the 20th highest-grossing picture of all time and the sixth highest-grossing live-action film in the United States. It also ranked as Warner Bros.'s third highest-grossing domestic release.

John Wick (2014)

John Wick is an excellent option if you're in the mood for a high-octane action film that doesn't take itself too seriously. After his wife is murdered, John Wick seeks vengeance by eliminating anyone who mistreats him. The movie has a lot of intense scenes, but it also has some funny ones to break up the seriousness.

It also boasts a vehicle chase that is among the best captured on film. Everyone who likes a well-rounded action thriller should see this film. It's not always about the body count; sometimes, it's all about the method of execution.

Even the most die-hard action fan will enjoy John Wick for its vicious gunfights and gritty hand-to-hand fighting sequences. Please don't go to this antihero for moral guidance, for he doesn't have any.

Logan (2017)

Logan is a fantastic option if you want something with less intensity than The Fate of the Furious but still enough action and violence. Most mutants have been eradicated or exterminated by this point in the future. Wolverine, now older and a recluse is also seen in the film up to the point when he assists Professor Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart) with a problem.

After that, they set off on an adventure that would take them across the United States. Hugh Jackman, Boyd Holbrook, and Stephen Merchant also feature in this movie. Dafne Keen, Richard E. Grant, Eriq La Salle, and Elise Neal are all renowned for their roles in this film.

The R classification for Logan, which implies no edits for profanity or violence, is one of the film's most striking characteristics since it increases the drama and intensity of the plot. And yet, the film's grand narrative remains unaffected despite being three hours long.
