Tiimo, an App for Neurodivergent Users, Secures $1.6M in Funding
Tiimo, the trailblazing app designed specifically for neurodivergent individuals, has secured a $1.6 million funding round, elevating its total pre-Series A funding to $4.8 million. This investment marks a significant milestone for Tiimo as it continues to enhance and expand its services tailored to those with unique cognitive needs, including ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and other neurodivergent profiles.
Founded in 2016 by Helene Lassen Nørlem and Melissa Würtz Azari in Copenhagen, Tiimo has established itself as a critical resource for individuals who think differently. The app features a customizable visual planner designed to meet the specific needs of neurodivergent users, making daily tasks and planning more manageable. Tiimo has also recently introduced Tiimo Learn, a comprehensive learning platform offering specialist educational content, expert advice, and research-backed tools aimed at supporting users in navigating their daily lives and achieving personal growth.
Since its seed funding round two years ago, Tiimo has seen remarkable growth. The user base has more than doubled, with over 50,000 paying subscribers as of August 2024, and more than 75% of these subscribers identifying as neurodivergent. The app’s reach has also expanded globally, with over 500,000 free users worldwide, reflecting its growing importance and acceptance in the neurodiverse community.
The latest funding round was spearheaded by Crowberry Capital and People Ventures, with additional support from Inner Foundations, a Sweden-based investment firm. This influx of capital will enable Tiimo to further its mission of improving the lives of the estimated 1 billion people worldwide with ADHD, autism, and other neurodivergent conditions.
With the new funding, Tiimo plans to focus on several strategic priorities. These include scaling user acquisition efforts, expanding into new markets, and further developing the Tiimo Learn subscription service to provide even more valuable resources and tools for its users. By investing in these areas, Tiimo aims to solidify its position as a leading solution in the neurodivergent community, offering continued support and innovation to help users navigate their unique challenges and achieve their personal and professional goals.
