US Expansion Funded: Trumpet Raises $6.35 Million

business .

Trumpet, a software sales platform, has successfully secured $6.35 million in Seed funding. The platform addresses the increasingly challenging B2B sales environment, where companies are cutting back on tool purchases and the buyer journey is predominantly digital. With 95% of the buying process occurring without direct salesperson interaction, trumpet aims to streamline this shift towards asynchronous buying and cater to digitally-native millennial buyers.

Trumpet centralizes the entire sales process into a single link—a collaborative workspace where all deal-related information, content, timelines, and communications are managed. This integration provides a seamless customer experience, enabling sales teams to effectively engage with prospects and clients even when not physically present. This approach distinguishes trumpet from competitors by offering a comprehensive digital solution to manage and enhance sales interactions.

Currently, trumpet has amassed over 10,000 users and more than 250 paying customers, including notable companies like Cognism, OpenTable, Sky Media, and Crossbeam. The platform’s popularity has surged organically, with 20% of its customer base based in the US despite having no dedicated marketing efforts or teams there.

Founded in 2021 by Rory Sadler (CEO), Nick Telson-Sillett (CMO), and Andrew Webster (CPO), trumpet benefits from the founders' previous successes. Telson-Sillett and Webster, as second-time founders, previously scaled the hospitality booking platform DesignMyNight to an eight-figure exit. Sadler, with his experience as a sales lead at product insights platform Hotjar, brings valuable expertise to trumpet. The team’s goal is to address the sales challenges they have faced firsthand by providing an effective solution for modern sales processes.

Rory Sadler emphasized trumpet’s role in enhancing sales efficiency and forecasting through its proprietary revenue intelligence signals. He noted that the trend of buyer enablement is gaining traction, and trumpet is positioned at the forefront of this development. AlbionVC led the Seed funding round for trumpet, a software sales platform that has gained notable traction in the market. The round also saw contributions from previous investors Lightbird Ventures, Anamcara Capital, and Triple Point Ventures, reinforcing their confidence in trumpet's potential.

Paul Lehair, Partner at AlbionVC, praised trumpet’s sleek design and intuitive usability, underscoring its effectiveness with global teams. He highlighted that trumpet’s platform is not only well-designed but also proving to be impactful across various international markets. Lehair also pointed out the platform’s significant potential to shape and enhance different facets of B2B communications, suggesting that trumpet could influence how buyer-seller interactions are managed and optimized.

The newly secured funding will be pivotal for trumpet as it embarks on its expansion into the US market. This move is expected to bolster trumpet’s growth, allowing it to scale its operations, broaden its customer base, and strengthen its position in the competitive landscape of sales technology. The investment reflects a strong belief in trumpet’s ability to drive innovation and deliver value in the evolving sales ecosystem.
