How Do I Use Stickies on My Mac

Stickers, How Do I Use Stickies on My Mac.

However, despite the fact that desktop sticky notes have been a part of macOS for quite some time, they are often confused with the Notes app. For the purpose of creating sticky notes, the Stickies app is used rather than the Notes app. In contrast to Notes, Stickies allow you to scribble notes that remain visible on your desktop (via the Finder application) as visual reminders. If desired, the sticky notes can be set to float above all other windows and applications on your computer.

Stickies is a pre-installed macOS application, which means it should already be present on your system when you start up your computer. The Stickies app can be found in the Finder in the following location: Finder > Stickies.

1. Finder can be launched from the dock by double-clicking on its icon and selecting File > New Finder Window from the menu bar.

2. The Applications option can be found in the left-hand menu. Scroll down to the Stickies section on the left-hand side.

3. If you haven't already noticed them, there should be two sticky notes explaining how Stickies functions.

4. Starting with the sticky notes themselves, you can start editing them by adding your own notes, or you can close them and start over with new ones by selecting File > New Note (or by pressing Command+N on your keyboard).

5. The note will be saved to your computer's desktop and will remain there until the Stickies application is closed. If you are unable to locate your notes, first check that Stickies is active.
