Ways To Recover Your Facebook Account

Facebook account recovery can be at times tricky, especially if you have not set up any backup options for recovery. Please keep in mind that many options given below take time and patience. That said, many people have had success, even if nothing seemed to work at all.

1. Are You Still Logged Into Facebook Somewhere?

Before you try the recovery of your account, first check if you are still logged into the Facebook site on any of your devices. This could be either another browser or browser profile on your computer, your Facebook app on your Android or iOS app, or even a mobile browser, for example, your tablet or Kindle.

If you can still able to access your Facebook anywhere, it is possible for you to "recover" your Facebook password without going through a confirmation reset code; though what you'll actually do is to create a new password.

After creating a new password it is better you store your informations. At this point, you should also consider setting up the two-factor authentication on Facebook.

Note: If you have set up the two-factor authentication before and you have lost access to your Code Generator, here's how to you can regain access to your Facebook login.

2. The Default Facebook Account Recovery Options

Now, if you could not find a device where your account was still logged into Facebook. So now let's proceed with the recovery options. If possible, you can use the internet connection and phone or computer from which you've frequently logged into your Facebook account before. If Facebook can recognize that network and the device, it might be easier for you cos you might be able to reset your password without any additional verification. But first, you will need to identify your account.

3. Recovering Your Account From Its Profile Page

If you can access any other Facebook account, for example that of a family or a friend member, and you are able to access your account's profile page that way because you are Facebook friends, you can make use of this option. Note that it will require you to log out of the other account. If you don't want to do that, then you can try the second option instead.

To proceed with this second option, first find your profile on your Facebook friend's friend list, open it, and click the image profile. On or below your profile image (in the mobile app, you'll see the three-dot menu show up below the image), then you select Find Support or Report Profile.

From the next menu that pops up, select the appropriate option, in this particular case it's "I Can't Access My Account", and click Next.

In this final step, click "Recover this account", which will automatically log you out of the account you're using, to start the account recovery.

This method will lead you to the same "Reset Your Password" window. The recovery process is based on the email addresses you've added to your account.
