1. Crawling

Mode of working of Web Crawling

The robots.txt file is downloaded by all search engine crawlers prior to beginning a crawl. This file lists the websites that should and should not be crawled, as well as the rules for doing so. It also contains the sitemaps and URLs that the search engine wants the crawler to visit. As a result of this process, web spiders collect more links and URLs to connected additional pages. 2. Indexing

Search engines discover the existence of websites by crawling them. Prior to database storage, crawler data must be categorized and organized. Indexing is the process of categorizing and cataloging web pages based on their content. The search engine does not save all of the page content while indexing. The page's title, description, related keywords, content type, and number of outgoing and incoming links are all stored in this database. There are two types of incoming and outgoing links: those that are arriving from our website and those that are coming from our website.

3. Ranking

To find results for a search query, Google uses information in its database and index to conduct an analysis. Ranking refers to the process of putting relevant search results in a logical order. The device, location, and language of the searcher are just few of the factors taken into account by Google when displaying search results. We can presume that the higher a page ranks, the more relevant it is to the user's search.
