Wimbart launches third edition of PR Office Hours
African technology start-ups in their early stages of development can now apply for the three-month communications program.
Wimbart, the public relations firm focused on Africa and emerging markets, announces the return of its third PR Office Hours program. The programme is designed to arm African and Africa-focused startups with the public relations tools necessary to support and achieve their business objectives. It will be delivered in collaboration with Ventures Platform and Techpoint Africa, who will share their expert knowledge on how to connect and secure with investors, journalists, and key stakeholders.
Wimbart Office Hours is geared toward early-stage startups with a particular emphasis on those developing technology solutions for Africans on the continent or in the Diaspora. Eligible startups must be less than two years old, have a minimum viable product, and have raised capital at least at the seed stage. The Wimbart team will choose 20 start-ups to participate in the program for free. Applications for the third cohort are now open and will close at 12 p.m. BST on Monday, 12 July.
Wimbart is one of the most active public relations firms in Africa focused on technology companies, having worked with over 60 start-ups and high-growth businesses, including AppsFlyer, IROKOtv, Sokowatch, and Gokada. The Wimbart Office Hours team will collaborate with Cohort three to foster a broader understanding of how public relations and communications should be an integral part of early-stage technology start-ups' planning and growth, assisting them in realizing their vision as they scale. Afriktrip, Nuguvu Health, and Vybe are just a few of the Wimbart Office Hours alumni from cohorts one and two.
